Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 14 May 1984:  Rene Benoit Pitre Sr. on Sunday, May 13, 1984, beloved son of the late Emile and Ella Dumesnil Pitre, beloved father of Rene Pitre Jr., Kenneth Pitre, Dennis Pitre and Mrs. Ann Pitre Johnston; brother of Mrs. Adele Haydel; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Age 81 years, a native of Baldwin, LA and a resident of Kiln, MS.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the Edmond Fahey Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 15, 1984 at 11 a.m.  Interment in Rotten Bayou Cemetery.  Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:30 until service time at the funeral home.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA, Tuesday, 4 August 1964:  Stansbury - On Sunday afternoon, August 2, 1964, at 1 o'clock, Gertrude Meyer, aged 57 years; wife of Roy B. Stansbury; mother of Rene B. Pitre; daughter of the late Sophie Weiss and George Meyer; sister of George, Vernon A. and Harold W. Meyer and the late Mrs. Annie Gilbert.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the P.J. McMahon & Sons Funeral Home, 4800 Canal street near cemeteries (parking in rear) on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, 1964, at 2 o'clock, followed by religious services at Bethany Evangelical and Reformed Church, S. Broad and Gen. Taylor.  Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Sunday, 18 November 1990:  Ursula Hill Pitre, a retired legal secretary, died Friday at Maison Hospitaliere in New Orleans.   She was 79.  Mrs. Pitre was born in Brusly, La., and lived in New Orleans for 66 years.  She was a secretary for O'Neill and O'Neill Attorneys at Law and was retired from the Department of Finance in New Orleans.  Survivors include two sons, Kenneth C. and Dennis J. Pitre; a daughter, Ann Johnston; two brothers, Jay William Hill Jr. and John A. Hill; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  A Mass will be said Monday at 11:45 a.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.  Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
