Obituary:  The Bay City Times (Bay, MI), Wednesday, 19 October 1977:  Roland A. Peters, 66, of 404 Elm Street died Tuesday, October 18, 1977 at the Hampton Nursing Home.  Born March 12, 1911 in Auburn, Michigan.  He is survived by his wife, Lillian; 3 sons, Roland G. of Bay City, Richard of Dearborn Heights, and Robert (Bud) Peters of Redford, Michigan; a daughter Mrs. Alex Edna Kokay of Florida; 2 brothers, Loyal Peters of Bay City and John C. Peters of Taylor, Michigan; a sister Mrs. Eleanor LeTourneau of Bay City; also 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Mr. Peters was a retired employee of the Visitation Church.  Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 1977 at 8:30 a.m. at the Squires Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at Visitation Church with the Rev. Fr. George Serour officiating with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. this evening.  Prayer services 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Obituary:  The Greenville News (Greenville, SC), Monday, 30 December 2002:  Seneca - Lillian Ethelyn Tate Peters, 89, of 212 Spider Oak Lane, widow of Rowland A. Peters, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at her home.  A native of Bay City, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Herman and May McChesney Tate.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church.  Survivors: Richard Peters of Dearborn, Mich., and Robert Peters of Redford, Mich.; daughter, Ednamay Kokay of Seneca; and 17 grandchildren.  Predeceased: grandsons, Christopher Kokay and Roland Peters.  Funeral services will be held in Bay City, Mich., at a later date. - Davenport Funeral Home.

Roland Gerald Peters:  The Bay City Times (Bay, MI), Tuesday, 2 March 1999:  Peters, Roland G.  Mr. Peters passed away late Sunday, February 28, 1999 at Bay Medical Center.  Age 68 years.  He was born December 20, 1930 in Bay City, MI and has resided here all of his life.  Mr. Peters was a member of St. George Byzantine Catholic Church and was a cantor there for twenty-five years.  He was a member of League of Catholic Men and Women, Heart of Christ Prayer Group and the International Federation for Vexillological Association.  Roland worked for DeFoe Ship Builders for several years and retired from Prudential Insurance Co. and served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen L. Trudell, whom he married on January 14, 1956.  Also surviving are his children: David (Wendy) Peters of Bay City, Kathleen (Lewis) Hatt of Chelsea, MI, Thomas (Anne) Peters of Detroit, MI; daughter-in-law, Megan Peters of St. Charles, MO, eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his mother, Lillian Peters; his brothers: Richard (Janet) Peters of Dearborn, MI, Robert (Sandy) Peters of Redford, MI, his sister, Edna Mae (Alex) Kokay of Seneca, SC; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Gerald Trudell, Robert (Sharon) Trudell, Joanne (Enos) Marquez and Mary (Darrell) Steff, many nieces, nephews and his pet Yorkie, Toby.  He was predeceased by his father, Roland Peters, his son, Roland J. Peters and grandson, Jason Peters.  The Divine Liturgy will take place Wednesday, March 3, 1999 at 11:00 AM at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church.  Officiating will be Fr. Robert Stash with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 9:00 PM.  The Parastas will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Mr. Peters will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 AM until the time of services.  Memorials for St. George Byzantine Catholic Church Charity Fund or Bay Area Regional Dialysis will be available at the funeral home.
