Thomas P. Pitre: L'Acadien (Moncton, NB), 25 January 1918: St. Therese, NB - Death has just taken away, in the midst of a crowd of relatives and friends, a zealous and devoted parishioner. On the 18th of this month, after being struck by an epidemic illness that lasted a few months during which he often received the sacraments, Mr. Thomas Pitre, aged 45, passed away peacefully to appear before God. Mr. Pitre was a tender husband and a father who knew how to earn the affection of his family, and even of all who knew him. Mr. Pitre was born in this parish, and he leaves in devastation a devoted wife and ten children, the eldest being twenty years old and the youngest two. They all remain in the parental home. His funeral took place on Sunday. Our sincerest and deepest sympathies go to this inconsolable family. May his soul rest in peace.
Joseph George Pitre: L'Evangéline, NB, 12 May 1919: Joseph P. Pitre died May 15, 1919 at 28 years 2 months. Married, son of Widow Pierre E. Pitre. Two sisters: Mrs. Augustin Theriault de Grande Anse, and Marthe.
