Mathilde Pitre: L'Evangeline (NB), Saturday, 13 June 1953: Robertville, NB - Mrs. Jerome Hache (née Mathilde Pitre), formerly from Free Grant, but living in Ste Therese de Robertville for a year and a half, passed away on June 4 at her home at the age of 78. Mrs. Hache is deeply mourned by all who knew her. An excellent Christian, she was charitable and dedicated to all good works. But she especially cared about the work of the Missions, and she spared neither her time nor her money to help them. She leaves behind, besides her husband, three daughters: Mrs. Arthur Hache (Eva), from Free Grant; Mrs. Fred Vienneau (Marie-Rose), from Ste Therese; and Mrs. Georges Pelletier (Marthe) from Ste Rosette. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Jos. Lavigne (Lucie), from Hamilton, Ont. Several of her children have preceded her in the grave. The funeral took place in Ste Therese de Robertville where the service was sung by Rev. Levi Robichaud, the parish priest. The pallbearers were Messrs. Lawrence, Alban, and Henri Vienneau, Wilfrid and Medard Hache and Andre Pelletier, all grandsons of the deceased.
