Obituary: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Saturday, 26 September 1970: Bathurst - The death of Philias Pitre, 243 Church Street, Bathurst, occurred Thursday in hospital at Campbellton after an illness of almost 20 years. He was 54. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Godin) Pitre. Prior to his illness he worked at Bathurst Power and Paper Company Ltds. as a Millwright. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Declimenti, four sons, Joseph, Dartmouth, N.S., Gerald and Kenneth, both of Fredericton, and Claude of Bathurst, a daughter, Demerise at home. Also surviving are four brothers, Arthur, Rudolph, Aurele and Clarence, all of Bathurst, four sisters, Mrs. Allan Lavigne (Maida), Mrs. Joseph Aubie (Gertrude), Mrs. Vincent Lavigne (Martina), and Mrs. Phillip Blanchard (Macrina), all of Bathurst and three grandchildren. The body is resting at Elhatton's funeral home, Bathurst. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Bathurst. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Pitre, of Maria Ave, Bathurst, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at
the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 75. Born in
Bathurst, he was the son of the late Philias and Mary (DiClementi) Pitre.
Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by his two sons:
Ronald (Angie) of St. Albert, AB and Brian of Halifax, NS.
Three grandchildren: Hunter, Tyler and Justin. Three brothers:
Kenneth, Gerald and Jean Claude. Several nieces, nephews and
many friends. He was predeceased by a sister Demerise Pitre.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service
will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, May 3, 2018 from Elhatton Funeral Home
Chapel, St. George St, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Joseph may be

Joseph Claude Pitre: Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB): Claude Pitre 1948-2020 (photo) - Bathurst - Mr. Joseph Claude Pitre, husband of Edith (Poirier) Pitre of Bathurst, passed away at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes on Thursday March 5, 2020 at the age of 71. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Philias and Mary (DiClementi) Pitre. Claude worked for years as a sheet metal worker and payloader operator. He was a lover of music, reading, hunting, playing guitar, and loved watching and playing sports, especially baseball. He was a wonderful husband. Claude was Edith’s shoulder to lean on as she was his. He was a wonderful father who loved his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife Edith, he is survived by two sons: Philippe (Stacy) of Bathurst and Marc (Tracy) of Edmonton, AB and one daughter, Selena (Michel) Vienneau of Bathurst. Five grandchildren: Brandon and Cameron Vienneau, Daton, Abby and Danika Pitre. Two brothers: Kenneth (Nancy) Pitre of Big River and Gerald (Barbara) Pitre of Bathurst. Sister-in-law: Margaret Pitre. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Demerise Pitre and a brother, Joseph “Jack” Pitre. A private funeral service will be held. Kenneth Pitre: Telegraph Journal (St.

Kenneth, 1945 - 2025, It is with great sadness that the family of
Kenneth Pitre, of Big River, announces his passing on Sunday, October 5,
2025 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Kenneth was 80 years
old. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy (Tims).
His daughters: Jennifer (Eric) Johnsen and Nicole (Neil) Carrington. Grandchildren:
Kirsten, Connor, Katie, Nathaniel, Rhys and Spencer (Griffin).
He is also survived by brother Gerald (Barbara), sisters-in-law,
Margaret and Edith as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Mary (DiClementi) and Philias Pitre,
along with siblings, Frank, Ronald, Jack, Demerise and Claude. Kenneth
received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from University of New
Brunswick and was a lifetime member of the New Brunswick Association of
Professional Engineers. He was a founding member of Mandate Erectors
and Welding Ltd., MQM Ltd., and a partner in Bathurst Machine Shop Ltd.
Ken served as a city councilor for the South Bathurst ward and was a member
of both the Masons and Chriners. He was a philanthropist who supported
many institutions and charities, focusing on children, marginalized groups
and economic development. In 2007, he was made a New Brunswick
Ambassador for his contribution to the economic success of the province.
A member of St. George's Anglican Church, he served as warden, vestry member
and on the finance committee. Prior to retirement, he enjoyed tennis,
softball, fastball and he skied across Canada using his Nordic Trak.
In later years, he travelled, golfed, bowled and was an avid Scrabble
player. He loved spending time making family memories. Ken
requested donations be made to either St. George's Anglican Church or the
Bathurst Volunteer Centre. The family would like to thank Dr. Ferguson
and the staff at the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent care he
received while ill. Ken loved his family deeply and his grandchildren
were the lights of his life. We will sorely miss his presence and the
sound of his laughter. Scientists investigate that which already is;
Engineers create that which has never been. Albert Einstein.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Octobr 31, 2025, from St. George's Anglican
Church, Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral
Home.
