- The Daily Item (Lynn, MA), Monday, 13 March 1905:  Paul Peters, a Lynn man, was on Sunday forenoon arrested in Salem by Inspectors Wells and Burckes on a warrant charging him with malicious mischief in this city.  About two weeks ago the residence of Peters' divorced wife, on Summer street, was broken into, but so far as known nothing was stolen.  Peters was suspected at the time and a warrant sworn out for his arrest. Saturday the officers learned that he was working in Salem and served the warrant on Sunday.  The complainant told the Judge this morning that all she desired was to have her former husband keep away from her house, and with this understanding the court continued the case until April 10.

- The Daily Item (Lynn, MA), Monday, 13 January 1930:  Paul Peters, charged with drunkenness, was sent to the State farm at his own request. He has seldom missed spending some portion of the year at the farm for the past 30 years.
