Notes for Pierre Lepitre:
The marriage of Pierre Pitre to Elisa Gabrion appears in the Notre Dame, Ogdensburg, NY registers (online transcription). The registration of Elisa's parents and her brother are all recorded with the same date: 8 April 1863. This may indicate that no priest was available previously, so the 'actual' marriage date/s may be different.
The 1881 census for Hull, Quebec shows Pierre & wife Philomene with 5 children. The gap/birthplace between the first 2 children (Adolphe 19 USA & Elmire 17 USA), and the last 3 (ages 6, 5, & 2 born Quebec) lead me to believe that Pierre was married to Elisa Gabrion and then Philomene Desjardins. (These 2 children are also listed in the 1871 census living with Pierre's parents Pierre Pitre & Marie Bergeron.) I have yet to locate the latter marriage.
