Misc.: The Gazette (Montreal), Thursday, 11 February 1909:  Alphonse Pitre, a resident of Gatineau Point, was taken to the Water Street Hospital with a crushed hand as the result of an accident received while working a piledriver at the Edwards Company's mill.  Pitre had climbed a ladder and had his hand on the pile when the weight became released, and fell.  With two fingers completely crushed and another injured, Pitre descended the ladder and was driven to the hospital.

Ernestine Anna Pitre:  Ottawa Citizen, Saturday, 18 July 1959:  Mrs. Michael D'Amico of 162 Rochester Street, died Friday in hospital after a short illness.  She was 58.  Born and educated in Gatineau Point, the former Ernestine Pitre was a daughter of the former Laudiana Hotte and the late Alphonse Pitre.  In 1926, she was married in Hull to Michael D'Amico, who died in 1956.  For the past seven years she was employed by the Department of Public Works.  Mrs. D'Amico attended St. Jean Baptiste Church where she was a member of the Ladies of the Rosary.  Besides her mother she leaves five sons, Anthony, with the RCOC stationed in the Yukon, Johnny, Roger, Jean-Guy and Paul, all of Ottawa; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Madeleine) St. Germain of Eastview and Miss Pauline at home; four brothers, Lucien, Robert, George and Roger all of Ottawa; five sisters, Mrs. Albert Brunet, Mrs. Maurice Boulay, Mrs. Alexandre Guerin, Mrs. Albini Whissell and Miss Pauline Pitre, all of Ottawa, also five grandchildren.  the funeral will be held Tuesday from the Landreville Funeral Home, 578 Somerset Street West, to St. Jean Baptiste Church for requiem high mass at 7:45 a.m.  Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Joseph Arthur Lucien Pitre:  Pitre - Mr. Lucien A. died 17 November 1986, at Foyer du Bonheur, at the age of 80 years.  He was the husband of Ena Bisson and son of the late Alphonse Pitre and the late Laudiana Hotte.  He leaves 2 sons: Raymond of Hull and Richard of Boucherville; 1 brother: Roger and 1 sister: Annette, both of Ottawa also 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  A religious service will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Friday 21 November.  Burial of the ashes at Notre Dame of Ottawa cemetery.  At the request of the deceased, no visitation.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cooperative Funeraire of Outaouais, Hull.

Jean Robert Pitre:  MISC:  The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Thursday, 4 October 1923:  Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Pitre, 111 Wellington street, Hull, are anxious regarding the whereabouts of their 13-year-old son, Robert, who has been missing from home since noon on Tuesday.  He was then seen on an express with a farmer, driving along Notre Dame street, Hull.  The boy is described as being of a fair complexion, with brown hair and eyes.  He wore a grey cap, a black coat sweater bound with yellow, grey pants and golf stockings.  Both the Ottawa and Hull police have been asked to be on the lookout for him.

- The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Monday, 17 January 1927:  Ernest Fabien, aged 17 years, and Robert Pitre, aged 16 years, two Hull youths, were arrested on Saturday evening by Detective Fox, and will appear in the Ottawa police court today on the charge of stealing paper from J. R. Booth, Limited.

- The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Wednesday, 19 January 1927:  In police court today Ernest Fabien and Robert Pitre, two Hull youths who had pleaded guilty to the theft of 300 pounds of paper, valued at $3, from J. R. Booth Company, Limited, were allowed to go on suspended sentence.  Magistrate Hopewell, after giving them quite a lengthy talk on the error of their ways, discovered that his advice was wasted as the boys did not understand English.

- The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Friday, 22 March 1929:  Four three-year terms in Kingston penitentiary, to run concurrently, were imposed in Police Court this morning upon Albert Presley, 194 Botelier street, who pleaded guilty on four charges of theft.  His companion, Robert Pitre, who was jointly charged on one offence, was sentenced to three months determinate and two years, less one day, indeterminate, at the Ontario Reformatory.

The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Friday, 22 March 1929:  Three years in Kingston penitentiary was the term drawn by Albert Presley, 194 Botelier street, who pleaded guilty in police court to two charges of housebreaking of theft of a car.  His associate in one of the robberies, Robert Pitre, 93 Murray street, on account of being a first offender, drew three months definite and two years less one day indeterminate sentence in the Ontario Reformatory.  Presley, who was arrested on Wednesday evening by Detective Tissot, admitted having stolen an auto valued at $1,390 from M.P. Davis, 5 Blackburn avenue, on January 17; to breaking into the home of Frank Bedard, 617 King Edward avenue the same evening and stealing money and goods to the value of $350, and to theft of a banjo and some personal effects worth $300 from Orville Bryson’s home at 183 Stewart street on Tuesday night last.  Presley’s mother, Mrs. Armandine Presley, was charged with having received stolen property knowing it to have been stolen, but the charges were withdrawn by Inspector Emile Joliat, with the consent of the court.  “You are only twenty-one and yet have a police record in both Montreal and this city,” said Magistrate Charles Hopewell in sentencing Presley.  “You seem determined to pursue the wrong path, so I must deal severely with you.  You, Pitre, are only a first offender and are in a different class to your associate, but I understand that although you are the oldest boy in a family of five you don’t help your widowed mother.  I am going to send you to the Ontario Reformatory.  If there is one place where you can be taught to work it is there.”

- The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Saturday, 1 February 1930:  Three young men will appear in police court this morning on charges of theft as a result of an arrest made in Hull last night by Detectives Ovila Lusignon and Anderson.  It is alleged by police that the trip stole seventy empty bottles from the Capital Brewing Company and were in the act of selling them when placed under arrest.  They were brought to the Ottawa police station by Detective MacDonald and gave their names and addresses as: Romeo Seguin, aged 16 years, 70 Lloyd street; Romeo Denelle, aged 18 years, 83 Broad street, and Robert Pitre, aged 19 years, 87 Sherwood street.

- The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Monday, 15 December 1952:  Prompt action by Ottawa police resulted in the arrest on Saturday night of two men in an alleged attempt to rob the offices of Remington Rand Typewriter Limited, 164 Laurier avenue west.  Fernand Farlette and Robert Pitre, both of no fixed address, were caught by Morality Officers John Raymond and Ernest Longpre as they tried to leave the building.
