Misc.:  The Lafourche Comet (Thibodaux, LA), Thursday, 17 March 1910:  A note from Lafourche Crossing says:  Little Carrie, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pitre has been critically ill since last Sunday.  We hope that the little one will soon be all right again.

- The Lafourche Comet (Thibodaux, LA), Thursday, 11 March 1911:  Mrs. Arthur Pitre and little daughter, Carrie, were recent visitors of Mrs. Phil Use.

Death Notice:  The Town Talk (Alexandria, LA), Thursday, 26 October 1939:  Tender Loses Life.  Morgan City, La., Oct. 26 - Arthur P. Pitre of Berwick, tender on the railroad turn bridge over the Atchafalaya here, lost his life early today in an accidental fall from the bridge.

- The Shreveport Journal (Shreveport, LA), Friday, 27 October 1939:  Bridge Tender Killed.  Morgan City - Arthur P. Pitre of Berwick, tender on the railroad turn bridge over the Atchafalaya here, lost his life early today in an accidental fall from the bridge.  His body, which fell on a concrete pier, was found with a fractured skull an hour later by his companion tender, Lindsey Fontenot.  The bridge span had been turned for a boat to pass.

Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 22 June 1960 - At Thibodaux, La., on Tuesday, June 21, 1960, at 12:45 o'clock a.m., Agatha Pitre, beloved wife of the late Arthur Paul Pitre, mother of Mrs. Dominic Tardo Sr. and foster-mother of Mrs. John Young; sister of Wilfred Pitre, Mrs. Henry Boudreaux, Mrs. Philip Richard and Mrs. Numa Hebert; also survived by nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; aged 79 years; a native and a resident of Lafourche, La.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from Thibodaux Funeral Home, 812 St. Philip street, Thibodaux, La., on Wednesday, June 22, 1960, at 10 o'clock a.m.  Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Thibodaux, La.  Interment in St. Joseph cemetery, Thibodaux, La.  Arrangements by Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux, La.

Marie Carrie 'Caroline' Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 26 March 1992:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux for Carrie Pitre Tardo, 88, a native and resident of Thibodaux, who died Wednesday.  Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Thibodaux Funeral Home in Thibodaux.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  She was the mother of Bobby and Nick Tardo, Patsy Theriot and Anita Rome.  She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Tardo; sons, Dominic Jr. and Lester Tardo; and parents, Agatha and Arthur Pitre.
