Emelie Pitre: Detroit Times (MI), Tuesday, 7 September 1915: Ecorse, Mich., Sept. 7 - The funeral of Mrs. John Riopelle, who died Monday morning in her home on Jefferson ave. west, will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, from St. Francis Xavier's church. Burial will be in Ecorse cemetery. Mrs. Riopelle was 74 years old, and a widow, her husband having died four years ago. She leaves to mourn her death three sons: Louis and Charles, of Ecorse, and William, of Indiana, and four daughters, Mrs. William Hutchinson, of Detroit, Mrs. John Maurice, of Ecorse; Mrs. Lilly Chapoton, of Cleveland, and Mrs. Joseph Ferstle, of New Boston. There are also 21 grandchildren living.

Adelaide Salome Pitre: Evening Press and Advocate (Bay City, MI), Thursday, 1 November 1883: South Bay City - A telegram was received in this city yesterday afternoon bearing the sad information of the death of Mrs. Louis Bouchard, who, with her husband, moved to Vanderbilt, Mich., last spring. Mrs. Bouchard leaves a family of seven small children, and the bereaved husband has the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The funeral will take place in this part of the city. AND Tuesday, 6 November 1883: South Bay City - Louis Bouchard returned last evening from Ecorse, where he had been attending the funeral of his wife, and left today for his home at Vanderbilt.
