Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), October 1996:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Ortis "Pete" Pitre, 84, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, who died at 2 a.m. today, Oct. 18, 1996.  Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  He was the father of Raleigh Pitre and Lionel, Lurey and Calvin Terrebonne; brother of Morgan Pitre, Pauline Chabert and Lorencia Adams.  He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Lorille Pitre; parents, Adrien and Lorencia Pitre; a half-brother; two sisters; and two half-sisters.  He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and a retired employee of Danos and Curole.  Falgout Funeral Home Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), April 1994:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Maggie Lerille Pitre, 83, a native of Lockport and resident of Cut Off, who died Monday, April 25.  Visitation will be 1 p.m. to funeral time today at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  She was the wife of Otis Pitre; mother of Raleigh Pitre and Lurey, Lionel and Calvin Terrebonne; sister of Elta Jones.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clamille and Marie Gros Lerille; three brothers, Percy, Emile and Gaston Lerille; two sisters, Edna Allemand and Agatha Boudreaux; and three grandchildren.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
