Obituary: The Saginaw News (Saginaw, MI), Thursday, 25 June 1959: Petre, Oscar L., 10160 Wilson Avenue, Chicago, Ill. A former Saginaw resident passed away at his home in Chicago, Ill., Wednesday afternoon. Age 59 years. He was born August 29, 1899, in Saginaw, and grew to manhood here. In 1923 he graduated from St. Mary School of Nursing and moved to Chicago, Ill., in 1927. The deceased was a member of the Catholic Church. Surviving are one foster son, William Collins, Chicago, Ill.; five sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Mary Baird, Mrs. Frank Foy, and Mrs. Glenn Taylor, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Ned Rozinger, Rocky River, Ohio; Mrs. Lila Russell, Vassar; Elmer Petre, Flint; Earl Baker, Chicago, Ill.; also one brother-in-law, Edward Rowe, Saginaw. Funeral announcement will be made later by the Case Chapel.
