Obituary:  The Flint Journal (Flint, MI), Tuesday, 13 October 1970:  Petre, Teresa R. - 1410 Mason, age 83, died Tuesday, October 13, 1970 at McLaren General Hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Vernon Chapel, Brown Funeral Home, Dr. William O. Moulton officiating.  Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw.  Mrs. Petre will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home.  Mrs. Petre was born in Saginaw, Michigan, November 28, 1886 and formerly lived in Montrose before coming to Flint 30 years ago.  Surviving is: Daughter, Mrs. Violet Blackstone of Flint.

Obituary for the daughter:

Violet M. Petre:  The Flint Journal (MI), Tuesday, 7 July 1998:  Hanks, Violet M. - Age 89, of Flint, formerly of Montrose, passed away Monday, July 6, 1998 at Genesys Regional Medical Center Health Park.  There will be no funeral service.  Mrs. Hanks was born on March 29, 1909 in Saginaw, MI.  She married Kenneth D. Hanks on January 14, 1971.  He survives her.  Mrs. Hanks enjoyed helping the handicapped people.
