Ovide 'David' Pitre: Ottawa Citizen (ONT), Wednesday, 26 August 1931: Ovide Pitre, a constable in the R.C.M.P. for the past seventeen years, died at a local hospital yesterday following an illness of six months' duration. Constable Pitre was attached to "A" Division and was stationed in Ottawa from the time he joined the force. Born at Casselman 48 years ago, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ovide Pitre, the deceased had been a resident of Eastview for twenty-five years. He was an attendant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic church, Eastview. Constable Pitre was twice married, his first wife, Mrs. Clara Spenard, predeceasing him four years ago. Surviving are his second wife, formerly Miss Germaine Bourque; three daughters, Irene, Rhea and Aline Pitre; two sons, Lucien and Rene Pitre; one step-son, E. Spenard, all of Eastview; one brother, Paul Pitre of Ottawa, and two sisters, Mrs. George Levine of Ottawa and Mrs. Donald McGillivray of Eastview. The funeral, which is being held from the family residence, 74 Main street, Eastview, on Friday morning at 8:45 o'clock, to Notre Dame de Lourdes church for mass at 9 o'clock, will be semi-military. Officers of "A" Division will supply the gun carriage and firing squad. Interment will be in Notre Dame cemetery.

Funeral Friday, August 28, at 8:45 a.m., from his late residence, 74 Main street, Eastview. Service at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church at 9 a.m. thence to Notre Dame cemetery, Ottawa.
Marie Marguerite Jeanne Pitre dite Lajambe: The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Tuesday, 3 August 1954: Mrs. Donald McGillivray, a resident of the Capital for more than half a century, died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was the former Elizabeth Margaret Pitre. Born in Mattawa, Ont., her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pitre. She married Donald McGillivray 52 years ago, coming to Ottawa at that time. They resided at 263 Hinchey Avenue. Mrs. McGillivray was a devout member of Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church. She leaves her husband; three sons, Robert, Dougal and Earl; two daughters, Bernice and Mrs. Lillian Beardsell; and 11 grandchildren, all of Ottawa. The body is at the Brady and Harris Funeral Residence. The funeral will be held Wednesday to Queen of the most Holy Rosary Church for requiem mass at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

Lucinda Pitre: The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Wednesday, 24 November 1943: The funeral service for the former Lucinda Pitts, widow of G. A. Lavine, who died yesterday at a local hospital in her 55th year, will be held in the parlors of A. E. Veitch and Son. Interment will be in the Merivale cemetery. Born at Embrun, Ont., she married G. A. Lavine there. He predeceased her by two years. She was a member of Parkdale United church. Surviving are two sons, Hugh and Lloyd of Ottawa; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Nicholas, Mrs. Victor Beauchamps and Mrs. George Cole, all of Ottawa; a brother, Paul of Ottawa and a sister, Mrs. D. McGillivray, also of Ottawa.
