Obituary:  Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano for Nickless Joseph Pitre, 88, a native of Leeville and resident of Cut Off, who died Sept. 1, 1990 at 5:25 p.m.  Visitation was at the funeral home from 1-11 p.m. Sunday and from 7 a.m. until funeral time Monday.  He was the father of Lawrence, Norman, Lindbergh, and Anatole Pitre, Irene P. Ledet, Lorraine P. Guidry, and Rita Savoie; half brother of Ortis and Morgan Pitre, Lorencia P. Adams, and Pauline P. Chabert.  He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Pierce Pitre; parents, Andrien and Lazian Lorraine Pitre; brothers, Lawrence and Loris Pitre; sisters, Sedonia P. Pierce and Venecia P. Pitre and half sisters, Angeline P. Doucet and Octavia P. Guidry.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano in charge of arrangements.

Irene Marie Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Tuesday, 10 October 2006:  Irene Marie Ledet, age 84, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 10:33 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.  Visitation to funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; mass Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.  Survived by her husband, Belton Ledet; one son, Norman Dormain; one daughter, Gene Ledet Hotard; three brothers, Norman, Lindberg and Anatole Pitre; two sisters, Rita Savoie and Lorraine Guidry; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Lydia Pierce Pitre; and one brother, Lawrence Pitre.  She was a cook for L.C.O. and South Lafourche and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lorraine Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, Tuesday, 19 August 2008:  Lorraine Pitre Guidry, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008.  Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.  She is survived by one son, Troy J. Guidry and wife, Rose Anna Fonseca Guidry; one daughter, Peggy Sue Guidry; two brothers, Norman Pitre and Anatole Pitre; one sister, Rita Savoie; nine grandchildren, Amy Brady and husband, Anthony "Boomer" Brady, Christopher "KeKe" Guidry and wife, Heather St. Pierre Guidry, Aaron "Bo" Guidry and wife, Jenny Terrell Guidry, Emily Guidry and fiance, Ryan Fournier, Paul Guidry and wife, Sylvia Hebert Guidry, Sarah Guidry, Luke Duet, Toby Duet Jr. and Renee Guidry; and seven great-grandchildren, Angelle and Allison Brady, Cali and Emmie Guidry, Linzy, Kodi and Logan Guidry.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Almate J. Guidry; her parents, Nickles and Lydia Pierce Pitre; and two brothers, Lawrence Pitre and Lingberth Pitre.  She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by all.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of South Louisiana.  Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, September 1996:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Lawrence "La-Las" J. Pitre, 71, a native and resident of Cut Off, who died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 (1996).  Burial was in the church Cemetery.  He was the husband of Edith Pitre Pitre; father of Larry Pitre and Lydia Brugier; brother of Norman, Linberg and Anatole Pitre, Irene Ledet, Lorraine Guidry and Rita Savoie.  He is also survived by three grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Lydia Pierce Pitre; a daughter, Judith Pitre; and a great-granddaughter.  He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart and a veteran of World War II.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Pitre; one son, Ted "Buckshot" Pitre; three brothers, Lawrence, Linberg and Anatol Pitre; and two sisters, Irene Pitre Ledet and Lorrine Pitre Guidry.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the Larose Volunteer Fire Department.  Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pitre and wife, Kathy, Michael "Scat" A. Pitre and wife, Pam, and Nat E. Pitre and companion, Dana Felarise; one daughter, Evelyn P. Martin and husband, Lincoln Martin Jr.; one brother, Norman Pitre; one sister, Rita Pitre Savoie; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Nickless and Lydia Pierce Pitre; two grandchildren, Brandin Pitre and Brent Pitre; two brothers, Lawrence Pitre and Linbergh Pitre; and two sisters, Irene Pitre Ledet and Lorraine Pitre Guidry.  He was Catholic.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
