Obituary: The Post Star (Glen Falls, NY), Tuesday, 7 October 1952: Saratoga Springs: Sheldon Peets, 480 1/2 Broadway, died Sunday morning at his home after a long illness. He was born In Lyon Mountain and had lived in Schuylerville until 10 years ago when he moved to Saratoga Springs. A member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, he had worked as a trainman for the Delaware and Hudson Railroad until he was taken ill several years ago. He attended school in Saratoga. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Riley Peets; four daughters, Mrs. Veronica Splllane, Saratoga Springs; Mrs. Helen Petro, Corinth; Mrs. Barbara Corp and Miss Karen Peets; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Swatling, Northumberland, and Mrs. Isabella Delaney, Saratoga Springs; two brothers, Laurence D. Peets, Schuylervllle, and Donald Peets, Montreal; a grandson, Donald Sheldon Corp, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 9 A.M. at the residence and at 9:30 in St; Peters Church. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

(Peets) Fleming, 69, of RD 2, McGregor Villas, Wilton, died Friday (Oct. 28, 1977) at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Fleming was born Sept. 4, 1908 in Rochester and resided in Saratoga Springs for many years. She was a member and communicant of St. Clement's Parish. She is survived by her husband, former Receiver of Taxes for the City of Saratoga Springs, Louis E. Fleming; four daughters, Mrs. William (Veronica) Spillane of Saratoga Springs, Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Petro of Corinth, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Corp of Round Lake, and Mrs. George (Karen) Kuehn of Iowa City, Iowa; two grandsons, and several cousins. Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at Burke Funeral Home, Saratoga Springs, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clement's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Arthur Wendel. Interment will be in the family plot of St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday. The family has suggested that memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, Saratoga Springs.

Veronica worked as Plant Manager for the New York Telephone and Telegraph Co. until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, William G. Spillane and two sisters, Helen Petro and Barbara Corp. Survivors include her sister, Karen Kuehn (Geo) of Saratoga Springs and her nephews, Donald S. Corp (Kathy) and Gary A. Kuehn. Ronnie will be missed by many close friends, including her oldest and dearest friend, Ange Piscitelli. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10am Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 in the historic Church of St. Peter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am in the church by the Rev. Thomas H. Born on March 23, 1930 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late M. Sheldon Peets and Thelma Riley Peets and was also predeceased by her husband, Ernest G. Petro. Survivors include her three sisters, Veronica Spillane, Barbara (Donald) Corp and Karen (George) Kuehn; two nephews, Donald S. Corp and Gary A. Kuehn; her very special cousin, Robert (Loretta) Smith and several great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 1, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Barbara worked as a supervisor for the NY Telephone Co. for several years and then was employed at General Electric in Waterford until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Donald G. Corp, an infant son, Jeffrey and her sister, Helen Petro. Survivors include her son, Donald S. Corp (Kathy) of Maltaville, NY; her sisters, Veronica Spillane and Karen Kuehn (George) of Saratoga Springs; her granddaughters, Brittany Corp and Brianna Hall (Dan); one great-grandson, Cameron Corp; her special nephew, Gary Kuehn and his sons, Hunter and Harrison Kuehn. Born on September 28, 1941, in Schuylerville, New York, she was the daughter of the late M. Sheldon and Thelma Riley Peets. Karen owned, operated, and taught at the dance studio Footlights until her retirement. Although she was born in Schuylerville, she moved to Saratoga Springs as an infant with her family. Karen loved Saratoga and was so proud of its history. She was a devout Catholic and loved attending the Church of St. Peter. She was bold, unique, and she loved passionately. In addition to her parents, Karen is predeceased by her three sisters, Helen Peets Petro, Barbara Peets Corp, and Veronica Peets Spillane. Survivors include her husband, Geo Kuehn; one son, Gary Kuehn; two grandchildren, Hunter and Harrison Kuehn, as well as her nephew, Donald Corp.
