Obituary:  Sun  Journal (Lewiston, ME), Wednesday, 29 May 1935:  Mexico, May 29 - Ill a week Mrs. Mary Peters, 70, died at the home of her son on Osgood avenue, Monday night.  Mrs. Peters was born in Rustico, P.E.I.  Following the death of her husband, nine years ago, she came to Mexico to live with her son, Henry Peters.  She was a member of the Ladies of St. Ann and is survived by the son, with whom she resided, a step-son, John Peters, Manchester, N.H.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Arcade Croteau, Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Julian Lambert, Manchester, N.H.; Mrs. Edward Hennessy, Charlottetown, P.E.I., and Miss Josephine Peters, Springfield, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Daniel Curtis, Rumford; two brothers, Allaire and Napoleon Peters, P.E.I.; several grandchildren.

Jean Stanislas Pitre:  Springfield Republican (MA), Thursday, 15 August 1946 - John S. Peters of 22 Main street died yesterday at Mercy hospital.  Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, 63 years ago, he came to this country 20 years ago.  He was a member of the Widow and Widowers club and the Painters union, local 237.  He leaves two daughters, Mary Peters at home and Mrs. Irene Gelinas of this city; a brother, Henry of Mexico, Me; and three sisters, Josephine Peters of this city, Mrs. Esther Locke of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and Mrs. Charlotte Hennessey of Charlottetown.  The funeral will be held at the George St. Pierre funeral home Saturday, followed by requiem high mass at St. Joseph's church.  Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.

 

Catherine Pitre:  Springfield Republican (MA), Tuesday, 11 July 1944 - Mrs. Catherine (Peters) Croteau, 58, of 22 Morris street, widow of Arcade Croteau, died yesterday at Mercy hospital after a brief illness.  Born on Prince Edward Island, she lived here for 22 years.  She was employed by the Cheney Bigelow Wire works and was a member of St. Anne's society of St. Joseph's church and Les Artisans society.  She leaves two brothers, John of this city and Henry of Mexico, Me., and four sisters, Miss Josephine Peters of this city, Mrs. Edward Hennessey of Charlestown, Prince Edward Island, Mrs. Frank Locke of Nova Scotia and Mrs. Julia Lambert of Manchester, N.H.  The funeral will be held in the George St. Pierre funeral home tomorrow morning at 8:15 with solemn high mass of requiem at St. Joseph's church at 9.  Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.

 

Marie Josephine Pitre:  Springfield Union (MA), Saturday, 22 April 1967 - Miss Josephine Peters, 75, formerly of 22 Morris St., died Friday in Municipal Hospital.  Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, Nov. 15, 1891, she was the daughter of the late Moise and Mary (Peters) Peters and lived in this city 40 years.  She was a former employee of Westfield Sanitorium and was a member of St. Joseph's Church.  She leaves two nieces and several nephews.  The funeral will be held Monday at 8:15 a.m. at George St. Pierre and Sons funeral home, State St., with a requiem high mass in St. Joseph's Church at 9.  Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.  Visiting hours are today, 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

 

Henry Pitre:  Sun Journal (Lewiston, ME), Friday, 19 April 1963:  Mexico - Henry Peters, 65, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home, 3 Gleason St.  He was born Dec. 23, 1897, at Charlottetown, PEI, son of Moise and Mary Peters.  He had served in the Canadian Army during World War I and was retired from the Oxford Paper Co. where he was employed on the paper machines.  Mr. Peters was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church and a member of the Foresters, the Assumption Society and Napoleon Ouellette Post, AL.  He is survived by his widow, the former Bibianne Gallant; a half-sister, Miss Josephine Peters, Springfirld, Mass.
