Obituary:  Springfield Republican, Thursday, 15 August 1946 - John S. Peters of 22 Main street died yesterday at Mercy hospital.  Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, 63 years ago, he came to this country 20 years ago.  He was a member of the Widow and Widowers club and the Painters union, local 237.  He leaves two daughters, Mary Peters at home and Mrs. Irene Gelinas of this city; a brother, Henry of Mexico, Me; and three sisters, Josephine Peters of this city, Mrs. Esther Locke of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and Mrs. Charlotte Hennessey of Charlottetown.  The funeral will be held at the George St. Pierre funeral home Saturday, followed by requiem high mass at St. Joseph's church.  Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery.
