Mayzelle Pitre:  Beaumont Journal (TX), Friday, 31 October 1947:  DeQuincy, La., Oct. 31 - The Rev. A.D. Varnado read services at the First Pentecostal church Thursday for Mayzelle Pitre, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Pitre, following the burning of her clothing Tuesday when it caught fire from a gas heater.  Snider funeral home directed burial at Tigmaiden cemetery.
