Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Monday, 25 March 1991:  Ville Platte - Funeral services for Mr. Madison Pitre, 80, were to be held at 10 a.m. today in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church here with burial in Mrs. B.J. Fontenot Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre, a resident of Ville Platte, died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday in Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.  Survivors include: his wife, Elna Fontenot Pitre of Ville Platte; a daughter, Mrs. Rayford (Delores) Chapman of Ville Platte; a sister, Mary Lou Ortego of Ville Platte.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  The Ville Platte Gazette (Ville Platte, LA), Wednesday, 8 June 2011:  Elna F. Pitre, August 21, 1917 - June 7, 2011 - Funeral services were held for Elna F. Pitre, 93, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 8.  Burial followed in the B. J. Fontenot Cemetery.  A loving wife, mother and sister, Ms. Pitre died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte.  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Rayford (Delores) Chapman of Belaire Cove; and one brother, Joseph "Tee Joe" Fontenot of Ville Platte.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Madison Pitre; and her parents, Araste and Marante Fontenot.  Father Clinton Sensat officiated. 
Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.

Delores Pitre:  The Ville Platte Gazette (Ville Platte, LA), Wednesday, 29 July 2015:  Delores Pitre Chapman, February 16, 1938 - July 26, 2015:  Funeral services were held for Delores Pitre Chapman, 77, of Belaire Cove, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 4 p.m., Tuesday, July 28.  Burial followed in the B. J. Fontenot Cemetery.  Mrs. Chapman died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte.  Working in her flower beds, sewing, embroidering and baking for family and friends were among the many things she enjoyed doing.  Her greatest love was that of spending time with and making a happy home for her beloved husband, Rayford John Chapman.  Their 57 years of married life together will provide him with many cherished memories.  Survivors include her husband, Rayford John Chapman of Belaire Cove; her brother-in-law, Eldon Chapman and his wife, Margie, of Belaire Cove; three nieces, Phyllis Fontenot and her husband, Tony, of Duson and Kerria Soileau and her husband, Grant, and Cheryl LeBas and her husband, Mackie, all of Ville Platte; and two nephews, Errol Chapman and Andrew Chapman and his wife, Cathy, all of Belaire Cove.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Madison and Elna Fontenot Pitre.  Father Tom Voorhies officiated.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte was in charge of arrangements.
