Marie Pitre: L'Evangeline (Moncton, NB), 5 June 1918: After an illness of three months, death took away from the affection of her family, on May 29, Marie Pitre, wife of André M. Arsenault, of Rogersville. The deceased was 53 years and 11 months old and was a native of Rustico, P.E.I., daughter of Maxime Pitre. She leaves her husband with 9 children: François of Minto, N.B.; Delphine (Mrs. Alyre Lavoie) of Rogersville; Lorette (Mrs. Raymond Bourque), of Bronson, N.B.; Hector, Elenore, Joséphine, Alma, Yvonne and Helena at home. Three other children died at a young age. The deceased had the great consolation of being surrounded at her death by all her living children, mentioned above. The funeral was held on May 31, under the direction of the local branch of La Société L'Assomption. The service was sung by Rev. Father Sormany, pastor. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Jean-L. LeBlanc, Marcel Richard, Auguste Melanson, Francis Lavoie, Andre P. Arsenault, and Francis Poirier. The deceased had a funeral like few have ever been seen in the parish of Rogersville. The entire parish had held dear the one who edified everyone by her piety. Married for thirty-three years in Rustico, P.E.I., the deceased had followed her husband to Rogersville the same year, and since then had been his faithful companion. L'Evangeline offers its sympathies to her husband and her large family in mourning.

George Andre Pitre: Peters - The death occurred at the Charlottetown Hospital on April 1, 1964 of George A. Peters of St. Charles in his 76th year. His remains will be transferred this afternoon at 2:39 from the Perry Funeral Home to his late residence from where the funeral will be held on Saturday morning, leaving the home at 9 o'clock for Requiem High Mass at 9:39 at St. Charles Church, St. Charles. Interment in the church cemetery.
