Obituaries for the children:

Joseph Emilien Pitre:  The death of Emile Pitre of Armstrong, husband of Myrtle, occurred on October 25, 2004, at the Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 77.  Born in Belledune, he was the son of the late Mike Pitre and the late Clara Guitard.  He is survived by his wife Myrtle; brothers Andrew (Doreen) of Brantford, Ontario and Ronald (Suzanne) of Armstrong; sisters Catherine (James) LaPointe of Seaside, Lorinda (Lloyd) DesRoches of Riverview, NB., and Beatrice Pitre of Jacquet River.  He was predeceased by two brothers Richard and Mike.

 

Marie Catherine Pitre:  MacMillan's Funeral Home (NB): Catherine Mary 'Pitre' Lapointe, July 27, 1928 - July 7, 2017, Black Point, NB:  It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Mary Lapointe (Black Point, New Brunswick), born in Armstrong, British Columbia, who passed away on July 7, 2017, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends.

 

Lorinda Pitre:  Lorinda (Lori) DesRoches, 1944-2013:  Lorinda DesRoches, of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2013.  Born in Jacquet River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Clara (Guitar) Pitre.  Lori was employed with Sears for several years and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.  In her leisure time she loved to bowl and sew and was always up for watching a good game of golf.  However, it was spending time with Alex and Abbey, her two treasures who meant the world to her, that brought her the most joy.  She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd; daughters, Karen (Dave) DesRoches of Riverview; Debra (Mike) DesRoches of Ottawa; sisters, Catherine LaPointe (James) of New Mills, NB; Beatrice Pitre of Jacquet River; brothers, Andrew (Doreen) of Brantford, ON; Ron (Sue) of Jacquet River; and grandchildren, Alex and Abbey.  Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by three brothers, Emile, Mike and Richard.  The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Riverview on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with parish prayers and sharing of memories taking place at 8:30pm.  The funeral mass will be celebrated from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding.  The burial will follow in Alderwood Cemetery.  Donations made in memory of Lori to the Palliative Care Unit of The Moncton Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.

 

Ronald Joseph Pitre:  March 16, 1949 - September 27, 2017:  Ronald Joseph Pitre, 68, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, September 27, 2017 following a battle with cancer.  Born in Armstrong Brook, he was the son of Clara (Guitard) Pitre.  Ronald leaves to mourn his wife Suzanne Paquette; son Ronnie; daughter Tammy Pitre; (children’s mother Gloria Pitre); grand-daughter Samantha Whitmore as well as his sister Beatrice Pitre.  He was predeceased by his siblings Mike, Richard, Emile, Andy, Lorinda and Catherine.  At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
