Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet, August 1996:  Maxime John Pitre, 86, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 12:41 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11 (1996).  His body will be cremated.  He was the husband of Lorica Toups Pitre; father of Clifford J. Pitre of Gretna and Enesia Cabirac of New Orleans; brother of Blanche Hebert and Laura Hill, both of Westwego, and Elizabeth Callais of Cut Off.  He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximillian and Leocade Dantin Pitre; and two great-grandchildren.  He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Cut Off.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  9 May 2005:  Beatrice Hebert Pitre, 92, a native of Galliano and resident of New Orleans, died at 12:01 a.m. May 7, 2005.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She is survived by her daughter, Enesia Pitre Cabirac; brother, Onezipe Hebert Jr.; sisters, Alzina Pitre and Delphine Hebert; half-sisters, Enesia Lejeune and Emelda Lafont; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her former husband, Maxime Pitre; parents, Onezipe Sr. and Enesia Smith Hebert; son, Clifford Pitre; brothers, Bert and Sandras Hebert; half-brothers, Roy and Lipton Hebert; sister, Edelia Guidry; and two great-grandchildren.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
