Obituary:  Times & Transcript:  Marguerite Pitre, 100, of the Villa du Repos and formerly of residence Gamelin, Shediac, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.  Born January 30, 1903 in Ste-Marie she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Cormier and Exelda Bastarache.  She is survived by a sister, Leona Albert of Grande Digue, a granddaughter, Denise of California and by several nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by her husband Maxine Pitre in 1969; a son Donald; seven sisters, Lucie, Marianne, Macrina, Yvonne, Jeannine, Judith, Anna; seven brothers: Eugene, Ben, Adelard, Andre, Fred, Prospere, Alderi.  Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton with visitation on Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., on Monday 9 a.m. until time of departure 9:40 a.m.  The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday November 3, 2003 at Notre Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church, Moncton.  Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

 

Obituary for the son:

Donald Joseph Pitre:  Times Advocate (Escondido, CA), Saturday, 13 September 1986:  Escondido - Donald J. Pitre, general manager for Pacific Metal Fabricators, died Sept. 6 at Palomar Memorial Hospital.  He was 58.  He was born on Aug. 19, 1928, in Worcester, Mass., and had lived in California for 33 years and in Escondido for 14 years.  Mr. Pitre was a member of the Escondido Elks Lodge for 18 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.  Survivors include his wife, Blanche; daughter Denise Pitre of Escondido; and mother Margaret Petri of Escondido.  Private services were held.  Alhiser-Wilson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
