Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 5 January 2013:  Morgan Anthony "Pete" Pitre, 88, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Houma, died at 12:08 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma.  Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Griffin Pitre; one daughter, Marlene Guidry; one son; one stepson, Ryan Boudreaux; one stepdaughter, Gina Davis; five grandchildren, Shawn, Shane and Chad Guidry, Michelle Nichols and Stephanie McDuff; 10 great-grandchildren, Ashton, McKaylin, McKinley, Molly, Justin, Alex and Taylor Guidry, Bobby Nichols, Madison and Chett McDuff; and four step-grandchildren, Katie and Macie Danos, Blake Boudreaux and Trent Crosby.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrien and Laurencia Martin Pitre; three brothers, Ortis, Lawrence and Nicholas Pitre; sisters Pauline Chabert, Laurencia Adams, Octavia Boudreaux, Vanessa Pitre, Sedonia Pierce and Angelina Doucet.   Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Wednesday, 7 March 1984:  Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, for Della June Blanchard Pitre, 57, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Cut Off.  Religious services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, with interment in Cheramie Mausoleum.  Visitation began at 11 a.m. today and will continue until 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  She was the mother of Marlene Guidry and Al J. Pitre; sister of Thelma Federine, Velma Pitre, Isabelle Guidry, Smith Blanchard and the late Hubert "Benny" Blanchard, Albert Blanchard, Gertrude Willem, Enola Duet.  She is survived by seven grandchildren.  Arrangements by Falgout.
