Misc.: Alpena Weekly Argus (MI), Wednesday, 22 November 1893: The residence of Stanislaus Pitre, 821 Cavanagh street, was destroyed by fire at 12 o'clock Monday night.  Most of the furniture was saved.  Mr. Pitre was out of town at the time.  The fire is supposed to have originated from the stove.  There is a telephone near the house, but the alarm was given by a boy who ran to the engine house, and thus the fire got a big start before the fire boys could reach the place.  Paterson & Small had an insurance to the amount of $700 on the property.

Obituary:  Los Angeles Evening Citizen News (Hollywood, CA), Thursday, 29 November 1945:  Peters - At a local hospital, Nov. 27, Caroline Peters, 84, of 8718 Kester Ave., Van Nuys.  Born in Canada, here 38 years.  Services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Valley Mortuary with interment in Valhalla Cemetery.  Leaves two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Dufton and Irene Peters, and two sons, Fred E. and George.

George Joseph Peters:  Great Falls Tribune (MT), Tuesday, 3 May 1955:  Libby - The body of George Peters, 69, was sent Monday by the Gompf Funeral Home to Eureka for funeral and burial.  Peters, a Eureka resident, died in the local nursing home, following a prolonged illness.  He is survived by the widow, Myrtle, at the home in Eureka; a brother, Fred E. Peters, Los Angeles, and a sister, Mrs. Evaline Dufton.
