Obituary Pitre: The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Sunday, 15 October 2006: Lee Roy J. Pitre Sr. Lafayette - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Lee Roy J. Pitre Sr., 78, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at Southwest Medical Center. Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Lou T. Pitre, of Lafayette; three sons, Lee Roy Pitre Jr. and his wife Lilia, of Lafayette, Jarvis Pitre and his wife, Tammy, of Lafayette and Eric Pitre and his wife, Laura, of Frisco, Texas; nine grandchildren, Desiree Pitre and her husband, Mark, Elizabeth Pitre, Stephanie Pitre, Dilyara and Jana Emiraliyeva, Daniel Pitre, Matthew Pitre, Nathan Pitre and Cohn Pitre; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Victoria Sehedler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Joseph Pitre and the former, Leona LeBouef; one brother, Wilbert Joseph Pitre; one sister, Doris Malbrough; and one granddaughter, Emily Pitre. A native of Chauvin and a resident of Lafayette for 66 years, Mr. Pitre was a veteran of military service, having served in the United States Army. He was a retired carpenter, specializing in cabinetry and worked as a supervisor for over 25 years with Dwight Andrus Home Builders. Prior to that, he built shrimp boats, starting at a very young age with his father. Mr. Pitre extremely enjoyed the outdoors and his favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, shrimping and crabbing. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and continue Monday, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be Lee Roy Pitre Jr., Jarvis Pitre, Eric Pitre, Shane Trahan, John Traschel and James Williams.

Obituary: The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Monday, 30 October 2000: (photo) Lafayette - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, at a Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Betty Jean Dias, 66, the former Betty Jean Fabacher, who died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at her residence. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Mrs. Dias is survived by her husband, Frank Dias Jr. of Lafayette; one daughter, Debra Carroll of Lafayette; three grandchildren; Candace Carroll, Manda Usie and Tony Carroll; one great-grandchild, Wyatt James Usie; three sisters, Joyce Trahan of Port Arthur, Texas, Dora Lyman of Lafayette and Lithe Kluk of Beaumont, Texas; and one sister-in-law, Dot Fabacher of Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael J. Dias; and two brothers, Leo Hayes Fabacher and Joseph T. Fabacher. A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Dias was the daughter of the Leo P. Fabacher, a native of New Orleans, and the former Theresa Lejeune of Iota. She was a member of the St. Edmond Catholic Community. Pallbearers will be Tony Carroll, Nick Usie, Ricky Menard, Errol Perron, William 'Tuty' Lyman and Sonny Menard. Honorary pallbearer is Wyatt James Usie. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Tuesday until of the services. Obituary: The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Tuesday, 23 March 2021: (photo) Lafayette - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille in Lafayette for Anna Lou Theriot Pitre, age 92, who peacefully passed away on the morning of Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her residence in Lafayette, with loved ones at her side. Lou (as known to most) was born on August 24, 1928 in Breaux Bridge. She most of her living in Lafayette. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's downtown location on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in Fountain Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Lafayette. Pastor Lane Nelson of Christian Life Center will conduct the funeral services. Everyone knew Lou as a wonderful host and cook preparing generous feasts for family holidays and relative gatherings. She lived for people she loved and shared what she could. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke & Louisa Theriot, Sr.; her husband, Lee Roy Pitre, Sr.; her brother, Luke Theriot, Jr.; her sisters, Wilma Miller & Agnes Hernandez; and one granddaughter, Emily Pitre. Survivors include three sons, Lee Roy Pitre, Jr. & wife Leilya of Ponchatoula, Jarvis Pitre & wife Tammy of Lafayette, Eric Pitre of Frisco, TX; eleven grandchildren, Desiree Green, Elizabeth Pitre, Stephanie Hall, Dilyara Burns, Jana Guts, Daniel Pitre, Mathew Pitre, Nathan Pitre, Cohn Pitre, Andrew Pitre, and Jonathan Pitre; twelve great-grandchildren; her brother, Cecil Theriot; and her sisters, Annette Trahan and Verna Guidry. Pallbearers will be Lee Roy Pitre, Jr., Jarvis Pitre, Eric Pitre, Elizabeth Pitre, Shane Trahan, and John Trachsel. Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Anna Lou T.
