Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 29 September 1954 - Leroy Pitre, 32, 3214 Tulane, auto salesman for Russo's Motor Sales, died at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday at Charity Hospital.  Funeral arrangements in charge of Lamana-Panno-Fallo, Inc., funeral home, 625 N. Rampart, were incomplete late Tuesday night.  Mr. Pitre is survived by his widow; three brothers, Gene Pitre of New Orleans and Marshall and Edward Pitre, both of Ville Platte, and two sisters, Mrs. Sidney Johnson and Mrs. Edward Ortego, both of Ville Platte.

- Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 29 September 1954 -Pitre - On Tuesday, September 28, 1954 at 7:15 o'clock p.m., Leroy Pitre, of 3214 Tulane avenue; beloved husband of Ina Jean Raley; brother of Marshall, John P. and Edward Pitre, Mrs. Sidney Johnson, Mrs. Edward Ortego; son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Magnus Pitre; aged 32 years; a native of Ville Platte, La., and a resident of this city for the past 9 years.

- Times Picayune, Thursday, 30 September 1954:  Pitre Last Rites to be in Florida - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bonifay, Fla., for Leroy Pitre, 32, 3214 Tulane, who died Tuesday night in Charity hospital.  Burial will be in the Florida city.  Lamana-Panno-Fallo, Inc. funeral home was in charge of shipping the body to Florida.  Mr. Pitre was an auto salesman for Russo's Motor Sales.

Obituary:  Jean Raley Pitre, 88, of Pensacola, FL died there Feb 28, 2007.  She was born Oct 13, 1919 in Washington Co., FL to Benjamin and Mena (Burke) Raley.  She was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of the East Brent Baptist Church in Pensacola.  Survivors include 2 sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral was held Mar 2, 2007 at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Weeks officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, FL directing.
