Obituary:   The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Friday, 21 March 1986:  Lawrence 'Jobie' Petrie.  Bradley - Lawrence 'Jobie' Petrie, 72, died March 19, 1986, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness.  He was born in Sheridan, July 15, 1913, the son of William and Eva (Cote) Petrie.  He was employed for 45 years by Diamond International of Old Town and served 21 years as constable for the town of Bradley.  Mr. Petrie also served many years as a reserve for the Old Town police department and was a communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Bradley.  He is survived by his wife, Rita (Thibault) Petrie of Bradley; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Evelyn Petrie, Richard and Lanette Petrie, all of Bradley, and James and Sherri Petrie of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Lee Wood of Bradley; one sister, Arlene Daigle of Caribou; one brother, Clarence Petrie of Old Town; six half-sisters, Cleo Parady, Elaine O'Rose, Yvette Fegera, all of Connecticut, Theresa Laliberte of Milford, Donna Cook of Jay, Connie Shina of Orono; one half-brother, William Petrie of Georgia; two step-sisters, Alva Dupres of Clinton and Olive Buck of Hampden; one step-brother, Sterling Shorette of Milford; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bradley, with the Rev. Normand MacPherson SSS celebrant.  Spring interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town.  Friends may call at the Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, Old Town, 2-9 p.m. Friday.

Obituary:  The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), Friday, 10 June 1994:  Rita P. Petrie - Bradley - Rita P. Petrie, 79, wife of the late Lawrence 'Jobie' Petrie, died June 9, 1994, at a Bangor hospital.  She was born in Old Town, Dec. 8, 1914, the daughter of John and Athelia (Sirois) Thibault.  She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Bradley.  Surviving are three sons and their wives, John and Evelyn Petrie, Richard and Lanette Petrie, all of Bradley, James and Sherri Petrie of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter and her husband, Pauline and Lee Wood of Bradley; 10 grandchildren, Cindy LaFlamme, Cheryl Wood, Steve Petrie, Dianne Holmes, Julie Benson, Sr. Melissa Petrie, Jennifer DeRoche, Sean Petrie, Heather Petrie, Nicholas Wood; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by one brother, Edward Thibault; one sister, Grace Knapp.  Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Friday at Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, 287 S. Main St., Old Town.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bradley, with the Rev. Richard Nadeau, celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Old Town.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church Building Fund.
