Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Thursday, 16 October 1997:  Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Pierre Pitre, 74, will be held (time pending) Friday in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.  Mr. Pitre, a resident of Prairie Ronde, died at 12:06 a.m. today (Thursday, October 16, 1997) in Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.  He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.  Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Ella Mae Thibodeaux Pitre of Prairie Ronde; four stepsons, Delton Faul of Toledo Bend, Elroy Faul of Thibodaux, Merlin Lavergne of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Bobby Richard of Lafayette; a daughter, Becky Callahan of Baton Rouge; a brother, Kermit Pitre of Opelousas; a sister, Ella Mae Fontenot of Opelousas; three grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  Visiting hours will be observed from 2 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Friday until time of services.  Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.

(Fontenot) Theriot will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas.  Mrs. Theriot, a native of Church Point and a resident of Opelousas, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2003, in Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.  Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Cunningham of Houston, Texas; two sons, Charles Theriot of Carencro and Burton Theriot of Opelousas; five grandsons, Bradly Manuel of Houston, Texas, Brian Manuel of Rawlins, Wy., Brock Manuel of Kirbyville, Texas, Brent Theriot of Lafayette and Tanner Theriot of Carencro; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Nelson Fontenot of Lake Charles; and four sisters, Lola Dupre of Opelousas, Azeline Stelly of Krotz Springs, Rose (Goy) Fontenot of Lake Charles and Ament Leger of Reeves.  Mrs. Theriot was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Theriot; her parents, Willie and Maria (Carrier) Fontenot; and three brothers, Amos Fontenot of Eunice, Wilson Fontenot of Luling and Euell Fontenot of Lufkin, Texas; and three sisters, Eula Jagneaux of Ville Platte, Eurella Leger of Opelousas and Gene Morvant of Port Arthur, Texas.
