Obituary: (The Guardian, PEI), Friday, 17 December 1954: A gloom was cast over the community of Oyster Bed Bridge, on Sept. 30, when death suddenly claimed Napoleon Peters as its victim, at the age of 73. Mr. Peters had been in poor health for a few months, but up to a few days before his death, was still up and around. He will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends, as a man of genial disposition, who, while in good health, was ever ready to lend a hand especially in times of sickness or a death in the neighborhood. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, the former Julia Doucette of Oyster Bed Bridge and eleven children: Edgar of Souris; Alice, Mrs. Harry Watton of Portland, Maine; Regina, Mrs. Ernest Blacquiere and Ferdinand of South Rustico; May, Mrs. Russell Coffin; Stella, Mrs. Henry Grant and Gloria, all three of Montreal; Arthur, at present employed in Resolution Island; Louis, Anita and Alfred at home. He also leaves a brother, Helaire Peters of Oyster Bed Bridge, and a sister, Mrs. Curtis of Maine. (dozens of floral tributes & mass cards & 2 telegrams)
