Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Saturday, 12 January 2008: Louis Joseph Pitre, 81, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 6:58 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. Mass will be at noon Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Janavee LeBoeuf Pitre; three sons, Carl A. "Roe" Pitre, Robby P. Pitre and Dean L. Pitre; one brother, Lawson Pitre; one sister, Emma P. Barrios; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcial and Clarice Pitre; two brothers, Alfred Pitre and Allen Pitre; and three sisters, Eusta Guidry, Clara Angeron and Vernice Gautreaux. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary: The Tri-Parish Times (Houma, LA): Janavee LeBoeuf Pitre, 77, a native and lifelong resident of Galliano, La., died at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. Mrs. Pitre was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Louis Pitre; parents, Caliste and Artemise Eymard LeBoeuf; and brother, Leroy "Jack" LeBoeuf. Visitation will be held 7 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, and 8 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. She will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Galliano. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
