Obituary:  Houma Courier (LA), Thursday, 15 March 2001:  Girdie Robichaux Pitre, 92, a native of Montegut and a resident of Gray, died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Bisland Cemetery.  She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Thaddeus Pitre and Lawrence Joseph Pitre Jr., both of Houma; two daughters, Gloria Dugas of Gray and Diana Crabtree of Houma; one sister, Mrs. Alden (Edith) Bailey of Picayune, Miss.; 28 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Joseph Pitre Sr.; her parents, Michelle and Velida Belanger Robichaux; and one son, Ernest Pitre.  She was an employee of the Louisiana State Department of Transportation.

Thaddeus Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, Tuesday, 26 April 2011:  Bro. Thaddius Joseph Pitre, 86, a native of Houma and a resident of Jasper, Texas, died Sunday, April 17, 2011.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.  Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial at Rogers Cemetery in Houma.  He is survived by one brother, Lawrence Pitre Jr.; two sisters, Gloria Dugas and Diana Pitre; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Terrebonne Pitre; his parents, Lawrence Pitre Sr. and Gertie Robichaux Pitre; and one brother, Ernest Pitre.  In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses are preferred.  Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
