Pitre Jr., Mrs. Mary Ann Waguespack, Ralph Ludvig Pitre and Mrs. Faye Ann Sapia; brother of Joachim Pitre, Mrs. Marguerite Sapia, Mrs. Emma Plaisance, Mrs. Amelia Wetzel, Mrs. Inez Fricano; half brother of Gracien Pitre and the late Mrs. Grace Lorraine, Alcide and Jeima Pitre; son of the late Louise Bruce and Raphael Pitre; also survived by 10 grandchildren; age 55 years; a native of Cut Off, La., and a resident of Harvey the past 22 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Jefferson Parish School Board, Schlumberger Offshore Services, Perrin's Seafood Restaurant, J. Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Ermine G. Pitre, 88, a native of Cut Off and resident of Bayou Blue and Raceland, died at 10:35 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005.  Visitation will be 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial at Westlawn Cemetery.  She is survived by two sons, Louis J. Pitre and wife, Marion, and Ludvic P. Pitre and fiancee, Gail; two daughters, Faye Sapia and husband, Jackie, and Mary Ann Waguespack; one daughter-in-law, Janice Pitre; three brothers, Hecton Gisclair and wife, Violine, Adam Gisclair, and Antoine Gisclair and wife, Blanche; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Pitre Sr.; her parents, Ludvic and Amelia Gisclair; one son, Ralph A. Pitre; two brothers, Louis Gisclair and Dewey Vegas; and three sisters, Delphine Bergeron, Mae Cheramie and Clara Danos.  She was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church and retired from the Jefferson Parish School Board.  Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Louis James Pitre:  The New Orleans Advocate (LA), Monday, 6 May 2019:  Louis 'Lou' Pitre, Jr., 83, of Golden Meadow, passed away with family by his side in his home on Saturday, May 4, 2019.  He was born on December 16, 1935 in Golden Meadow, LA to the late Louis J. Pitre, Sr. and Ermine Gisclair Pitre.  He was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Marion G. Pitre.  He was a graduate of Marrero High School, served in the Air Force Reserves, and retired from Schlumberger in 1989 after 30 years.  He had a passion for reading and was knowledgeable on many topics.  His family and friends all knew him to be an incredible cook.  He loved family, scotch, and a good cigar.  He and his wife Marion resided on the West Bank for 40 years, where they raised their five children.  He is survived by his significant other, Ms. Deanna Curole; five children, Valerie Pitre Burlet (late Jay Burlet) of Marrero, Jace Pitre, Sr. and his wife, Vanessa Pitre, Kingwood, Tx; Suzan Pitre Franz (late Art Franz); Christian Pitre, Marrero, and Maria Pitre Thomas and her husband Tony Thomas, Woodville, MS.  He had nineteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.  He is predeceased by three siblings, Ralph Pitre, Mary Ann Pitre Waguespack, and Fay Pitre Sapia.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Lou on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Golden Meadow, LA., with Fr. Sebastian presiding at 11:00 am.  Visitation will be from 9:00am-11:00am.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Entrusted with Funeral Arrangements.

 

Ralph Anthony Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A religious service will be held Saturday at Bayou Blue Presbyterian Church in Bayou Blue for Ralph Anthony Pitre, 57, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Bayou Blue, who died at 6:28 p.m. Feb. 23, 2000.  Visitation will be 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. until funeral time at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.  He was the husband of Janis Robertson Pitre; son of Ermine Gisclair Pitre; and brother of Louis Pitre Jr., Ludvic Pitre Sr., Mary Ann Waguespack and Faye Sapia.  He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Pitre Sr.  He was a member of the Walter Irving Lanier Lodge No. 307 F&AM and member 32 percent Scottish Rite.  Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Fay Ann Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA)Fay Pitre Sapia, 57, a native of Harvey and resident of Raceland, died at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007.  Mass was at 11 a.m. today at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Raceland.  She is survived by her husband, Jack Sapia; two sons, Jeffrey Sapia and wife, Monique, and Joseph Sapia and wife, Agnes; one daughter, Leah Sapia; two brothers, Louis Pitre Jr. and Ludvic Pitre; one sister, Mary Ann Waguespack; three grandchildren, Brooke, Jeremy and Jared Sapia; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Sr. and Ermine Gisclair Pitre; and one brother, Ralph Pitre.  She was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church and sheriff of the Cajun Cruisers Motorcycle Club.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
