Obituary: Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME), Tuesday, 22 October 1974: Pittston - Lawrence J. Peters, 61, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at Gardiner General Hospital. He was born in Gardiner on April 14, 1913, the son of John and Emily Roy Peters. For many years he was employed at the Kayser-Roth shoe factory. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Moulton of Pittston; a brother, Albert Peters of Togus; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Thornton of Gardiner and Mrs. Anna Wilson of Pikestown, Pa.; five grandchildren; one uncle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gardiner.

Obituary: Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME), Monday, 4 September 1972: Pittston - Mrs. Gilberte L. Peters, 59, died Saturday morning at the Augusta General Hospital following a long illness. Born in St. David, Feb. 21, 1913, she was the daughter of Jewell and Elsie Sirois Lizotte. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gardiner. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence J. Peters of Pittston; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Carol) Moulton of Pittston; three brothers, Joseph Lizotte of Pittsfield, Mass., Leavitt Lizotte of Lacona, N.Y., and Edward Lizotte of Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. John Bell of Gardiner, Miss Eva Lizotte of Sommerville, Mass., and Mrs. Rene Cyr of Augusta; and five grandchildren and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at 9 this morning in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Gardiner.
