Survived by 4 sons, Aurele (husband of Yvette Latour) of Cornwall; Lionel (husband of Madeleine Dore) of Maxville; Marcel (husband of Florence Racine) of St. Isidore of Prescott; Rene-Urgel (husband of Marie-Jeanne Gibeault) of Ottawa; 2 daughters, Laurette (Mrs. Theodore Thibault) of Cornwall and Estelle (Mrs. Charles Cooper) of Montreal; predeceased by 1 son Gabriel. She leaves 4 brothers, Father Ernest Denis of Gatineau; Romain and Brother Gerald, both of Montreal, Leo Denis of Casselman. She leaves 3 sisters, Germaine and Irene (Mrs. Eugene Gratton), both of Casselman; Sister Mary-Marthe of Annonciature of Ottawa; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Loving father of Danielle Laroche (Ron), Micheline Leger, Celine Eady (Shawn). He is also survived by his siblings Rene Pitre (Marie-Jeanne), and Estelle Cooper (late Charles), his 4 grandchildren, Michelle Martin, Shane Brisson, Melanie Larin and Sophie Cosstick and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Godfroy and Bertha (nee Denis) Pitre and his siblings, Lionel (Madeleine) Marcel (Florence), Laurette Thibeault (late Theodore), and Gabriel. Funeral details are entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, Cornwall. Visitation will be held Sunday May 29, from 2-4 7-9. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 10:00am. at St-Felix de Valois Church, Cornwall.

Laurette Pitre: M. John Sullivan Funeral Home: Laurette Thibault (nee Pitre): A mother is with us always, first in her lifetime, then forever in our heart and memories. Paradise has just recruited a new angel in the person of Laurette Thibault, who passed away on April 3, 2020, at the Cornwall Community Hospital. For 93 years and 3 months, she has loved and lovingly served her family and will now join her deceased husband Theodore Thibault (2010) with whom she spent 57 years of happiness. Their seven children are mourning the loss of their mother but have forever inherited her precious values: Clement (Debbie, nee Robidoux), Diane (Jerry Dumond), Monique (Paul Hurtubise), Ginette (Yvon Laflèche), Claude, Colette (David Merpaw) and Jocelyne (James Prevost). Laurette also leaves behind 14 precious grandchildren: Eric and Justin Thibault; Patrick (Genevieve) and Stephanie Dumond; Dominique (Coralie), Sebastien (Myriam) and Maxime Hurtubise; Anne (Steve) and Joel (Lorna) Lafleche; Daniel (Stephanie), Melanie (Pat) and Jenna Merpaw, as well as Andre and Jérémie Prevost. She was also dear to her 8 great-grandchildren and one other on the way. Laurette also leaves behind her brothers Aurele (late Yvette) and Rene (Marie-Jeanne), her sister Estelle (late Charles Cooper), her sisters-in-law Madeleine Pitre (late Lionel) and Florence Pitre (late Marcel), as well as her brothers- and sisters-in-law of the Thibault family: Lise (Claude Dube), Helene, Francoise (late Henri-Paul Thibault) and Clement Lambert (late Mariette Thibault), along with many nephews and nieces in both families. Predeceased by her dear parents Godfroy and Bertha Pitre, and her other brother Gabriel. She also joins the deceased of the Thibault family: her father- and mother-in-law Georges and Maria, her brothers- and sisters-in-law Clement (late Ozanne), Gertrude (late Romain Vallée), Cecile (late Napoleon Gauthier), Renaud (late Virginia), Dorothee, Lucienne (late Benoit Rosa), Floran (late Jeannine) and Raoul (late Magella). Due to the ongoing pandemic, a memorial mass will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the M John Sullivan Funeral Home. Special thanks to all the wonderful people who, in the last few days and years, eased Laurette’s life, especially the staff in the critical care unit of the Cornwall Hospital, at Sandfield Place and at the McConnell Manor. Joseph Marcel Leonard Pitre: Lamarche & Hill Funeral Homes: Mr. Marcel Pitre, of Casselman, died peacefully on June 8, 2015 at the age of 81. He was the loving husband of Florence Pitre nee Racine. He was the son of the late Godfroy Pitre and the late Bertha Denis. Beloved father of Lise (Michel Dicaire) and Luc (Angele Belair) and adored grandfather of Miguel Dicaire (Veronique Begin), Genevieve Dicaire (Martin Allard) and Michael and Joel Pitre as well as great-grandfather of Chloe and Logan. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Aurel Pitre (late Yvette Latour), Laurette (late Theodore Thibault), Estelle (late Charles Cooper), Lionel (Madeleine Dore), Rene (Marie-Jeanne Gibeault) and his brothers-in-law and beautiful -sisters. He was predeceased by his brother Gabriel. Visitations will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the Lafleur Funeral Home & Chapel, Casselman. The religious service will follow at 3 p.m. at Ste-Euphemie church in Casselman.
