Obituary: Chillicothe Gazette (OH), Monday, 14 June 1971: Louis C. Petrie, 66, of 171 E. Fifth St., died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday at Chillicothe Hospital. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. John Kepf officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Helby Memorial Home where recitation of the rosary will be at 7:30. Born on Feb. 26, 1905, at Orono, Maine, he was the son of Marcel and Mary Ellen Doucet Petrie. On June 16, 1928 he was married to Mary Kellough who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donald W. (Mary Ellen) Barnhart, Londonderry, Mrs. Rudolph J. (Janet) Grieco, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Clyde F. (Lorene) Warth, Chillicothe, and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters. Mr. Petrie, who had lived here 30 years, was a retired machine operator for the Mead Corporation.

Obituary: Chillicothe Gazette (OH), Monday, 3 March 1980: Mary M. Petrie, 70, of 189 E. Fourth St., died at 6:53 a.m. Sunday in Medical Center Hospital. Born April 6, 1909, in Chillicothe, she was the daughter of Henry and Bessie Shoemaker Kellough. On June 16, 1928, she was married to Louis C. Petrie who died June 13, 1971. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Mary Ellen) Barnhart, Londonderry, Mrs. Rudolph (Janet) Grieco, Cincinnati, and Mrs. Rick (Lorene) Lowery, Chillicothe; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Frank and Donald Kellough, Chillicothe; and five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Riehle, Mrs. Virgil (Ruby) Rinehart, Mrs. Phillip (Blanche) Beeler, Mrs. John (Jessie) Clemmons, and Mrs. Carl (Leora) Gillfillan, all of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by two brothers. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, where her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William R. Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the Haller Funeral Home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Lowery, 73, of Chillicothe, died 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in the Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University following a brief illness. She was born August 18, 1939, in Munising, MI, to the late Louis and Mary Kellough Petrie. Surviving are children, William (Tammy) Warth, of Chillicothe, Marcia Warth, of Chillicothe and Richard (Amber) Lowery, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Tori Paige Hughes-Lowery, Mark R. Wintersheimer, Clinton Warth and Matthew Warth; a former daughter-in-law, Amy L. Cutright, of Chillicothe; other living relatives; and special pets, her pitbull, Lottie Aruba and her chocolate lab, Mandy. She was predeceased by a sister. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the First Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Mitchell Salyers officiating. Friends may call at the church from noon until 3 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ware Funeral Home.
