Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Tuesday, 4 February 1969:  Lester Pitre.  Funeral services will be held at a 4 p.m. Requiem Mass Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church for Lester Anthony Pitre who died Monday at 7:30 p.m. after a brief illness.  Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre was a native and life-long resident of Lafayette.  He resided at 619 Stewart Street and had been employed by the Dixie Cab Company for the past 30 years.  Survivors include his wife, the former Ruby Broussard of Lafayette; four daughters, Mrs. Curris Lanerie and Mrs. James Weber, both of Scott, Mrs. Carson Arceneaux and Mrs. Norman Griffin, both of Lafayette; one son, Army Sp. 6 Robert J. Pitre of Nurnberg, Germany; one brother, J. D. Pitre of Beaumont, Tex.; and 16 grandchildren.  A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.  The Delhomme Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

- Beaumont Journal (TX), Wednesday, 5 February 1969:  Lafayette - Funeral services for Lester Anthony Pitre of Lafayette will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lafayette.  Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be under direction of Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette.  Pitre died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Lafayette floowing a short illness.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette and was a cab driver.  Among his survivors is a brother, J.D. Pitre of Beaumont.

Obituary:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Monday, 4 November 1991:  Mrs. Ruby Pitre.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Mrs. Ruby Broussard Pitre, 76, who died at 8:55 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 1991 at her residence in Scott.  The Rev. Frederick O. Swenson, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Scott will officiate.  Interment will be in the church mausoleum.  Mrs. Pitre, daughter of the late Clete L. Broussard and the former Laurence Broussard, was a native of Broussard and was a longtime resident of Lafayette.  Having retired in 1977, she had worked for South Central Bell for 31 years as a service assistant.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Sts. Peter and Paul Church Parish.  Survivors include one son, Robert J. Pitre of Kileen, Texas; four daughters, Margaret Lanerie of Houston, Mrs. Carson (Faye) Arceneaux, Mrs. James (Virginia) Weber and Sandra Pitre Marks, all of Scott; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Hilda) Peschier of Scott and Mrs. Jerry (Lillian) Leete Jr. of Sheds, N.Y.  Mrs. Pitre was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Donald Louis Pitre and Warren Louis Pitre; and one brother, Bennett B. Broussard.  The family request that donations in her memory be made to Hospice of Acadiana, Lafayette, LA.  Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until service time today.  The Delhomme Funeral Home, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.

Donald Louis Pitre:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Tuesday, 22 April 1941:  Donald Louis Pitre, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Pitre, died at a hospital in New Orleans Monday morning.  Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard this morning and interment was in the Broussard Catholic cemetery.  Besides the parents one brother, Robert and one sister, Marguerite Pitre survive.  Funeral arrangements were in charge of Crouchet and Guchereau with the Dauterive Undertaking Co., Inc.

Sandra Helen Pitre:  The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, LA), Thursday, 15 December 1994:  Scott - Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 1994 at St. Peter and St. Paul Mausoleum for Mrs. Paul Marks, 47, the former Sandra Helen Pitre, who died 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1994 at the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana.  Entombment will take place in St. Peter and St. Paul Mausoleum.  The Rev. John De Leeuw, retired, will officiate.  A native of Lafayette, Mrs. Marks was the daughter of the late Lester Pitre and former Ruby Broussard.  She was a resident of Scott.  Survivors include: her husband, Paul Marks of Scott, one daughter, Amy Tinker of Slidell; one son, Mark Griffin of Panama City, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Lanerie of Lafayette and Virginia Weber of Scott; and one grandchild.  Pallbearers will be: Mike Evans, Samuel Hurd, Ty Weber, Ted Weber, James Weber and Phil Trosclair.  The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. to service time Thursday.  The Delhomme Funeral Home are funeral directors in charge of the arrangements.
