Obituary: Courier & Freeman (Potsdam, NY) Tuesday, 12 January 1982: BRASHER FALLS — Funeral services for LeRoy A. LaShomb, 71, of Brasher Falls, will be Wednesday (Jan. 13, 1982) at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Brasher Falls, with the Rev. Robert 0. Lamitie officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery of Brasher Falls. Calling hours will be today (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Mr. LaShomb was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday evening (Jan. 10, 1982) at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Surviving are two sons, Keith A. of Brasher Falls and Vernon O. of Baldwinsville; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Jenne and Miss Marilyn LaShomb, both of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. LaShomb was born Nov. 7, 1910 in the town of Brasher, son of Burt and Jennie L. (Hallahan) LaShomb. He attended local schools. He married Marjorie Otis on July 12, 1933. She died Sept. 1970. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Brasher falls. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Tri-Town Rescue Squad.

Obituary: Courier & Freeman (Potsdam, NY) 1 October 1970: Winthrop - Mrs. Marjorie R. LAShomb, 57, Brasher Falls, wife of LeRoy A. LaShomb, died at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 24, 1970, at the Massena Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for four days, following failing health for two years. The funeral was Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. John M. Waterhouse, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Keith A., Brasher Falls, Vernon O., Liverpool; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Jenne and Miss Marilyn La Shomb, Syracuse; several grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Tarbell, Syracuse. She was born Sept. 11, 1913 at Hartford, Conn., a daughter of Robert and Ella Stone Otis. She attended Massena schools and was married to LeRoy A. LaShomb of Brasher, on July 12, 1933 at Hogansburg. Mrs. LaShomb was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Brasher Falls.

Vernon O. Lashomb: Watson Funeral Home (NY): Vernon O. LaShomb, 79, of Central Square, passed away July 9, 2014. He was born on July 29, 1934, in Helena, NY, a son of Leroy & Marjorie Otis LaShomb. Vernon retired in 1997 after being employed for nearly forty years as an Agricultural Field Auditor for the US Department of Agriculture in Syracuse, NY. He served in the US Army from December of 1953 to December of 1955 during the Korean Conflict. Vernon is survived by one daughter, Denice Richards, Fulton, NY, one son, Steven LaShomb, Liverpool, NY, their mother Carol LaShomb, Fulton, NY, one sister, Marilyn LaShomb, Addison, NY, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by one daughter, Laura LaShomb, one sister, Gloria Jenne, and one brother, Keith LaShomb. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 14, 2014 from the Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, NY. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from Noon until the start of services at the funeral home, 631 S. Main Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Syracuse.
Keith A. Lashomb: Hammill Funeral Home: December 30, 1945 - August 15, 2010: Brasher Falls - Keith A. LaShomb, 64, passed away peacefully at his home, Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born on December 30, 1945 in Massena, son of the late Albert Leroy and Marjorie (Otis) LaShomb and graduated from St. Lawrence Central School. He married Sandra Davis in Massena on April 29, 1965, the marriage ended in divorce. Keith worked at Crucible Steel in Syracuse then came back home and worked at ALCOA in Massena for 36 years. When he retired in 2002 he was working in the testing lab. Keith enjoyed time spent with his family, such as family dinners, 4-wheeling and time at the picnic table. He was a member of the Tri Town Trailblazers, a hunter, and enjoyed the open road on his "Spider." He is survived by his four children, Lisa and her husband, Kevin Kersey of Queensbury, Brian LaShomb of Ogdensburg, Lyn LaShomb of Port Henry and Erica LaShomb of Plattsburg; three grandchildren, Desiree' Kersey, Konner Kersey and Amber LaShomb; one brother, Vernon LaShomb of Central Square and one sister, Marilyn LaShomb. His sister, Gloria, predeceased him. As per Keith's wishes, there will be no public services; arrangements are entrusted to the Hammill Funeral Home in Winthrop. Those wishing to do so, please consider donations in his honor to the Brasher-Winthrop Volunteer Fire Department, Winthrop, NY.
