Obituary: The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), 21 October 2016: Kermit Paul 'Pop' Pitre Sr. - A resident of French Settlement he passed away from natural causes at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the age of 94. Visitation will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 2128 Bull Run Rd, Chacahoula, LA 70395, from 8:30am until memorial service at 11:00am on Saturday, October 22, 2016. He is survived by his daughters, Yvette Chiasson, Yvonne Robichaux, Juanita Champagne; sons, Kermit, Jr., Kenneth, Keith, and Kirk; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lou Belle Bourgeois; brothers, Joseph, Russell, Milford, Andrew, Shelby, Jesse, and Royce; and sons in law, Raymond Chiasson, Ed Robichaux, and James Champagne. 2016: Dorothy Marie Olivier Pitre, age 89 passed from this world to
one of total healing, peace, and joy on Sunday, May 29, 2016 surrounded by her
loving family. Dot never met a stranger and if she was your friend, she
was your life-long friend. She had a contagious laugh and always had a
humorous tale to share. She loved cooking and feeding those who came to
visit. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, each one
being a star in her eyes. She was born in New Orleans, LA on August 29,
1926 and was a lifelong resident of Schriever. She is survived by her
seven children; Yvette Chiasson, Kermit Pitre, Jr., Yvonne Robichaux, Juanita
Champange, Kenneth Pitre, Keith Pitre and Kirk Pitre, Sr.; sister, Vera
Landry; brother, Pat Olivier. She is also survived by 18
grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She
is preceded in death by her parents, Numa and Emily Olivier; twin sister,
Doris Thibodaux; great-grandchild, Brad Ledet; son-in-laws,
Raymond Chiasson, Adam Robichaux and James Champagne. Friends and
relatives are invited to gather to celebrate her life at St. Bridget Catholic
Church in Schriever, LA on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 8:30AM until funeral
time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM at the church,
with burial in St. Bridget Catholic Church cemetery.

She was born September 16, 1948 in Schriever, LA to Kermit and Dorothy Pitre. Yvonne married Adam Joseph Robichaux in 1980 who preceded her in death in 2006. Yvonne enjoyed volunteering at her church, attending Bible studies and loving people. This woman never met a stranger. She shared her love with food, cooking large meals for her ever growing family and group of friends where everyone was more than welcome. Her life was one immersed in the goodness and steadfastness of God. She will forever be a living example of how crucial a relationship with Jesus is. Yvonne is survived by her daughters Tina Duplantis (Keith), Angela Black (Moses), Janie Spearman (Scott); step-children Monica Leboeuf (Burt) and Stephen Robichaux. She is also survived by her favorites, her grandchildren; Blair Duplantis, Tanner Duplantis, Skylar McKinney, Ella McKinney, Alyssa Spearman, Jordan Robichaux, Brendan Robichaux, Logan Leboeuf, Layne Leboeuf, and Landon Leboeuf; Her siblings, Kermit Pitre Jr, Yvette Chaisson, Juanita Champagne, Kenneth Pitre, Keith Pitre and Kirk Pitre. She is preceded in death by her husband Adam Robichaux, her parents; Kermit and Dorothy Pitre, her beloved grandparents Numa and Emily Olivier.
