Obituary: North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Tuesday, 13 February 1973: Noelville - Rev. Gerard Vachon conducted the funeral mass, Saturday for Domena Pitre who died in Sudbury Pioneer Hospital following a short illness. He was 87 years old. Pallbearers at the funeral service were all grandsons of the deceased. Interment was at the Holy Angels Roman Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Pitre was born in Emburn in 1886 where he married Clara Patenaude who predeceased him in 1950. The couple came to Noelville in 1916. He is survived by eight sons, Leopold of Ottawa, Emile of Val Caron, Henri of Sudbury, Zepher at Windsor, Adelard, Hormsdas, Fernand and Alvarez, all of Noelville; one daughter, Mrs. Leandre (Eliza) Rochon of Alban; 30 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Clement and Mrs. Josephine Nadon, both of Noelville.

Obituary: North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Friday, 16 June 1950: Sturgeon Falls, June 16 - Solemn requiem mass was conducted in St. David's Church, Noelville, on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock for Mrs. Domina Pitre, a highly respected resident of Noelville for the past 35 years. Rev. J. M. Leclair, parish priest, officiated at the mass with Rev. O. Campeau and Rev. G. Forest as deacon and sub-deacon. Interment was made in the parish cemetery with six sons of the deceased woman acting as pall-bearers. They were: Leopold, Adelard, Zephyr, Hermidas, Farnand and Alvery Pitre. Mrs. Pitre's death occurred at her home in Noelville, on June 13. She was the former Miss Clara Patenaude, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leandre Patenaude. She was born at Embrun, Ontario 60 years ago. Her marriage to Domina Pitre took place in Embrun on November 20, 1905. She is survived by her husband; eight sons, Henri, Leopold, Hermidas, Zephyr, Emile, Alvery, Leopold and Adelard, and one daughter, Mrs. Leo Rochon; three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. H. Dignard of Winchester, Mrs. Elzear Ducharme and Mrs. Leopold Phoenix, both of Montreal, and Paul and Adelard Patenaude at Embrun.

Joseph Emile Leopold Pitre: North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Tuesday, 19 January 1999: Pitre, Leopold - Of Mattawa. Passed away at the Algonquin Nursing Home on Monday, January 18th, 1999, in his 90th year. He is survived by his beloved wife Yvonne, dear daughter Francine Whitehead (John) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by grandson Jason. Also survived by brothers Adelard of Noelville, Zephir, Sudbury and Alvarez of Noelville. Predeceased by son Charles and brothers Fernand, Henri, Emile and Hormidas and two sisters Lisa and Rosa. By request there will be no Funeral Home visitation. Marie Elisa Therese Pitre: North Bay Nugget (North Bay, ONT), Tuesday, 1 April 1975: Noelville - A resident of Noelville and Alban for most of her life, Mrs. Leandre Rochon died in hospital in Toronto following a lengthy illness. She was 57. Final respects were paid to Mrs. Rochon in a service at the chapel of Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home in Sudbury, and interment followed at the Noelville Catholic Cemetery. Rev. L. Brousseau of Alban offered the funeral mass. Eliza Rochon was born at Noelville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Domina Pitre, and was raised and educated at Noelville. In 1936, she was married at St. David Church in Noelville, and Mr. and Mrs. Rochon resided in Sudbury until 1944 when they returned to Noelville. Surviving Mrs. Rochon are her husband and six brothers: Fernand of Azilda; Paul of Mattawa; Zephyr of Windsor, and Adelard, Alvarez, and Hermidas, all of Noelville.

Joseph Zephir Hormisdas Pitre: Pitre, Zephir died at his home in Sudbury on Monday 10 May 1999, at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of Agnes Pitre (nee Demers) of Sudbury. Son of the late Domina Pitre and the late Clara Pitre (nee Patenaude). He is survived by his children Donald (wife Terry), and Robert (wife Denise) both of Noelville. Predeceased by his daughter Gisele. Brother of Adelard (wife Jeanne) and Alverez (wife Gracia) both of Noelville. Predeceased by five brothers Leopold (wife Yvonne Pitre) of Sudbury, Fernand (wife Solange Pitre) of Chelmsford, Hormidas (wife Lucille Pitre) of Noelville, Henri, Emile (wife Gaetanne Pitre) of Sudbury and two sisters Rosa and Eliza. He is survived by four grandchildren Renee-Claude (Mrs. Alain Tailfer), Steven, Charles and Marc. Mr. Pitre was retired having worked for Chrysler Motors at Windsor. Fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. Zaphir loved gardening at his cottage. He was a member of C. de C. Conseil #8360.
