Notes for Mary Bertha Minnehan:

Obituary:  The Reporter Dispatch (White Plains, NY), Sunday, 9 Oct 1977:  Petrie, Mary on October 7, 1977.  Beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Petrie.  Devoted father of Mrs. Arnold (Muriel) Farquhar, Gerald, Edmond and Jean Petrie.  Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Interment and services will be private.  Arrangements by the White Plains Funeral Home.

- Birth:  Mary's date of birth is taken from the 1901 St. John census, where she appears as  a boarder with the Minnehan family: Widow Julia Minnehan 61, her daughters Mary 30, Bridget 28, Margaret 26, and 'boards' Mary Hall 4 (24 Mar 1897).  Julia's husband Michael Minnehan died 25 Apr 1897.  When Mary's 'older sister' Margaret Minnehan Williamson submits a late registration of birth for Mary on 7 July 1926 at St. John, she identifies Michael Minnehan & Julia Manning (her own parents) as Mary's parents.  But when Mary married in 1915 she identified her parents as John & Mary Hall.
