Mary Geraldine Pitre: Humphrey's Funeral Home (St. Stephen, NB): Carter, Marie Geraldine - Peacefully passed at the Charlotte County Hospital on Monday June 14th, 2021; Born on July 29th 1941 in Jacquet River NB; She is the daughter of the late Joseph & Marie (Daigle) Pitre. She was predeceased by one sister Veleda Bartlett and the love of her life Allen Neilson. Geraldine is survived by two daughters Pauline Barter (Joe) of St. Stephen and Jeanette Stevenson (Wayne) of Saint John, two sisters Rita Hachey (Dorien) Georgette Gibson (Ralph), four grandchildren Julie Watson (Jay), Keith Stevenson (Jill), Elisha Boulanger (Ryan), Dustin Eldridge (Angela); ten great-grandchildren who will always remember as Other Nana....Caleb, Mackenzie, Jaden, Ayvaeh, Rylee-mae, Ayvree, Emma, Emilie, Jack and Elliot, Goddaughter - Amy Wesenberg, Best Friend - Mary Carney, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was loved and will be missed by many. By Geraldine's request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 17th at 1:00 pm at The St. Stephen Royal Canadian Legion, St. Stephen. Rev Dan Jamer officiating. Due to circumstances surrounding the pandemic prescreening protocols will be in place. Masks will be mandatory. Those feeling anxious, vulnerable or unwell are encouraged not to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the family. Veleda Marie Pitre: Humphrey's Funeral Home (St. Stephen, NB): 1944 - 2015 - Bartlett, Veleda M. - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Sunday, June 14th, 2015; Veleda Marie (Pitre) Bartlett, wife of the late Wallace Bartlett of Waweig, NB. Born in Jacquet River, NB she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Marie Cecile (Daigle) Pitre. Upon losing her husband at an early age, Veleda was a strong willed, young dedicated mother to raise 3 sons entirely on her own. Veleda is survived by her 3 sons, Larry (Cathy) of Barrie, ON, Danny (Nancy) of St. Andrews, NB, Stephen (Sandy) of Calgary, AB, 4 grandchildren Jordan (Susan), Nicholas (Stephanie), Meghan & Connor, 1 great-granddaughter Chloe, her companion Roger Russell of Waweig, NB, 3 sisters Geraldine of St Stephen, NB, Rita (Dorien) of Waweig, NB and Georgette of Chamcook, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, St Stephen, NB from where the family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Wednesday from 7 – 9 pm. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18th, 2015 at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, St Stephen, NB. The interment will follow in St Stephen Rural Cemetery followed by a reception at Holy Rosary Parish Hall. Donations to the Charlotte Co. Cancer Society or NB Heart & Stroke Fdtn would be appreciated by the family.
