Stafford Pitre of Sainte-Anne, Glou. Co., passed away on Saturday November
12, 2016, at the age of 100, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Jerome and Marguerite
(Legacy) Pitre. He was the last surviving member of his immediate
family. He is survived by his wife of 79 years, Léona (Noël) Pitre,
and his ten children: Stanisclaus (Malvina), Evangelist (late Joanne), Agatha
Doucet (Roger), Harold (Jeannette), Carson (Raymonde), Rose-Helen Jackson (late
David) and Joan Legacy (Raymond) all of Sainte-Anne, Harvey (Helen),
Levin (Tina) both of Ontario and Wanita Legacy (Eloi) of Middle
River. 34 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 6
great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Three
daughters-in-law: Marie-Rose Pitre of Sainte-Anne, Gladys Pitre of
Ontario and Claudine Pitre of Hamilton. One son-in-law, Gerard
Landry of Bathurst. He was predeceased by three sons: Clinton,
Rodrick, Kenneth; a daughter, Mariette Landry and several brothers
and sisters. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon November 16, 2016, at 4
p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of
Stafford may be made to a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are
in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst.

Born in Little River, she was the daughter of the late Marjorique and Bernadette (Hachey) Noel. She is survived by her children: Stanislause (Malvina), Agatha Doucet (Roger), Harold (Jeannette), Carson (Raymonde), Rose-Helen Jackson (Clovis) and Joan Legacy (Raymond) all of Sainte-Anne, Wanita Legacy (Eloi) of Middle River. 33 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. She was the last living member of her immediate family. Three daughters-in-law: Marie-Rose Pitre of Sainte-Anne, Gladys Pitre of Ontario and Claudine Pitre of Hamilton. A son-in-law, Gerard Landry of Bathurst. Besides her husband, she now rests with her sons: Clinton, Rodrick, Kenneth, Harvey, Levin, Evangelist and a daughter, Mariette Landry; her brothers: Stanley, Tommy, Edward, Eli, Wilfred, Leo, Paul, Mederick, Albert, and a sister, Lidia. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame-du-Rosaire Church by invitation only. In memory of Leona a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home in Bathurst.

Four grandchildren: Amy, Alissa, Ashely, Auston and one great-granddaughter, Allyson. Four brothers: Harvey Pitre (Helen) of Ontario, Stanislaus Pitre (Malvina), Harold Pitre (Jeannette) and Carson Pitre (Raymonde) all of Bathurst. Four sisters: Agatha Doucet (Roger) of Sainte-Anne's, Wanita Legacy (Eloi) of Middle River, Rose-Helen Jackson (late Dave) and Joan Legacy (Raymond) both of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Patrick and four brothers: Clinton, Rodrick, Lenin, Kenneth and a sister, Mariette. Cherished father & grandfather of Tracy Bartley (Randall) of Timmins, children Stephen (Brandi) & William; and Stacy Pitre of St. Williams, children Logan, Linken & Liam. Livian will be lovingly remembered by many siblings & extended family. A private family visitation was held at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel, North Simcoe.
