Pitre of Beresford died on 17 Dec 1989 at the age of 82, husband of Isabelle Roy, and son of Victor Pitre and Anne Godin.  Five daughters: Viola (Raymond DeGrace), Rosa (Odilon Comeau), Delcia (Aurele Arseneau) and Mona all of Beresford, and Norma (Ulysse Aube) of Tremblay; three sons: Cletus of Sormany, Jean of Bathurst, Clifford of South Tetagouche; two sisters Eva (Ernest Pitre) of Beresford and Eveline Daigle of Bathurst, a brother Moses of Beresford, 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Obituary:   Mrs. Pitre of Beresford died on May 11, 2005 at age 90, born Isabelle Roy (Stanislas Roy and Anna Arseneau).  Two sons: John of Bathurst and Clifford (Evangeline) of South Tetagouche; four girls.  Brother Raymond (Claudine) of St-Jean; two sisters Lina (Alphee Comeau) of Beresford and Eva (Leandre Godin) of Tremblay; 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren.  Deceased four brothers: Clifford, Adelard, Denis and Ernest; six sisters: Christiane, Marguerite, Rosanna, Lorette, Armanda and Marianne; one son Cletus; a daughter Delcia.

Viola Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  It is with great sadness that we, the family wish to inform you of the death of Mrs. Viola DeGrace, wife of the late Raymond DeGrace, which happened surrounded by the love of her loved ones, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the age of 89.  She lived in Beresford.  Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Pitre and the late Isabelle (Roy) Pitre.  She is survived by six children: Rejean de Beresford, Roland (late Delphine) of Nigadoo, Jacques (Carol) of Robertville, Diane Picot (Fernand) of Dunlop, Denise DeGrace (Yvon) of Beresford and Julie Matte (Reginald) of Dunlop, her 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She also leaves her sisters: Norma (Pierre) from Pointe Verte, Rosa from Beresford and her brother, Clifford from Robertville, as well as several nephews and nieces.  She now rests with a grandson, Serge, her sisters: Delcia, Mona and her brothers: Cletus and Jean.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  The funeral will take place on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at St-Nom-de-Jesus Church in Beresford.  A donation to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home of Beresford.

 

 Cletus Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  At Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at the age of 68, died after a short illness, Cletus Pitre, domiciled in Robertville but formerly of Beresford.  Born in Beresford, he was the son of Isabelle (Roy) Pitre and the late Johny Pitre.  He worked for the city of Beresford.  He is survived by: 1 son: Michel Pitre (Lise Duguay) of Moncton, 2 Daughters: Nathalie Pitre of Robertville, Joanne Pitre of Beresford, 2 Brothers: Clifford Pitre (Evangeline Legacy) and Jean Pitre all of Bathurst, 4 Sisters: Viola DeGrace (Raymond), Rosa Pitre, and Mona Pitre, all of Beresford, Norma Pitre of Robertville. 3 grandchildren: Angelie, Camie and Yannick.  A sister, Delcia, preceded him in the grave.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  The funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Nom de Jesus Church, Beresford, on Monday, June 9, 2003, at 4:30 p.m.  Interment in the parish cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Beresford Heritage Funeral Home.
 

Jean Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Jean ‘John’ Pitre (photo) 1945 – 2015:  Beresford – Jean ''John'' Pitre, of the Villa Sormany, Robertville, passed away suddenly on Sunday October 4, 2015, at the age of 70, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.  Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Johnny and Isabelle (Roy) Pitre.  He is survived by his daughter, Chantal (Brian) MacKenzie of Calgary, Alb., one grandson, Tyler Jordan Latino of London, Ont., Four sisters: Viola Degrâce (late Raymond), Rosa Guignard (late Alphonse) and Mona Boudreau (late Charles) all of Beresford and Norma Pitre (Pierre Nolet) of Robertville.  One brother, Clifford (Évangéline Legacé) of South Tetagouche.  Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Cletus and a sister, Delcia.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon October 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Saint-Nom-de-Jesus Church of Beresford.  Donations in memory of John may be made to the NB Lung Association or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford.

 

Mona Pitre:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Mona Pitre (photo) 1956-2021: At Beresford:  It is with great sadness that we, the family, wish to inform you of the death of Mrs. Mona Pitre, spouse of the late Charles Boudreau, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the age of 65.  She lived in Beresford.  Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Pitre and the late Isabelle Roy.  She is survived by her daughter, Katie Pitre-Boudreau (Jason) of Sainte-Louise; her brother, Clifford Pitre (late Evangeline) of South Tetagouche; her sisters: Viola (late Raymond DeGrace), Rosa (late Alphonse Guignard) both of Beresford and Norma Pitre (Pierre Nolet) of Pointe Verte.  She also leaves her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins ​​and friends.  She now rests with her brothers: Cletus (Regina) and John (late Loida); her sister, Delcia (late Aurelius).  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  The funeral will take place at Saint-Nom-de-Jesus Church in Beresford on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.  In memory of Mona, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Beresford.
