Obituary:  The Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), Monday, 15 November 1909:  The funeral of the late Joseph Peters, Montague, aged eighty years, took place to the R.C. Cemetery on Wednesday morning.  The deceased was ailing for some time and peacefully passed away on Monday morning.  He leaves to mourn a wife, two sons and one daughter.

Obituary:  The Guardian (Charlottetown, PEI), Wednesday, 29 May 1935:  Pictou, May 25 - The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Peters occurred on Friday, May 24, at her home on Prince Albert St.  She was a woman of fine Christian character and a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church.  She had reached the advanced age of 91 years and was formerly a resident of Montague, P.E.I.  She is survived by one son, James of Pictou, and one daughter, Mrs. Peter DeLorey, also of Pictou.  She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Mary MacInnis of Halifax, and three brothers, James in the United States, and Felix and Jefferson, in Cape Breton.  The funeral took place on Saturday morning, the service being held in the Stella Maris church, and interment was made in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
