Notes for Casimir Pitre:
Casimir, like the rest of his siblings was born on Prince Edward Island, but the family relocated to L'Ardoise when he was a teenager. He married Judith Martel c1811. He was a fisherman like his brother.
By the 1838 L'Ardoise census they had a family of 13, Casimir, wife Judith, Emelie 26, Mathilde 24, Timothee 18, Jean 16, Suzanne 14, Marguerite 12, boy 10, Joseph 8, Michel 5, Judith 3, and Isidore 2. The family seem to have prospered with at least one branch moving into Massachusetts.
Casimir died in 1862, aged 72, followed 6 months later by his widow Judith.
