Obituary:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 7 December 1936:  A life-long resident of Tecumseh, Joseph Pitre, 90 years of age, died yesterday at the home of his son, Dolphis, 47 Alphonse street, Tecumseh, yesterday following a short illness.  Mr. Pitre was born at Tecumseh and farmed in that district all his life.  He was an active member of Ste. Anne's Church.  Also surviving are another son, Pierre, at home; four daughters, Mrs. Stanislas Bellaire and Mrs. Ted Forton, of Windsor; Mrs. Alfred Blais, and Mrs. Charles Maitre, of Maidstone, and a sister, Miss Elise Pitre, of Tecumseh.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at the home at 9 o'clock and at Ste. Anne's Church at 9:30.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Obituary:  Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Tuesday, 17 May 1921:  Mrs. Celina Pitre, 72 years old, wife of Joseph Pitre, of Tecumseh, near Windsor, died Monday afternoon at her residence.  Death was due to general debility.  Seven children, in addition to her husband, survive.  Interment will be made Wednesday morning in St. Anne's cemetery, Tecumseh.

Marie Josephine Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 6 March 1950:  Mrs. Mary Bellaire, 77, widow of Stanislas Bellaire, died early this morning at her home, 430 Langlois avenue, following a short illness.  Mrs. Bellaire was born in Windsor and had lived here all her life.  Her husband, Stanislas, predeceased her on Christmas Day, 1949.  She is survived by six sons, Harvey and Norman, both at home; Herbert, Harry, Lawrence and Raymond, all of Windsor; one brother, Dolphis Pitre, of Tecumseh; and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Blais and Mrs. Louise Maitre, both of Tecumseh, and Mrs. Delphine Forton, of Windsor.  Funeral will be Wednesday, from the Marcotte Funeral Home, 870 Wyandotte street east, at 9 a.m., to Immaculate Conception Church at 9:30.  Prayers will be said evenings at the funeral home at 8 o'clock.  Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

Pierre Cesaire Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Saturday, 11 January 1947:  Pierre Pitre, 73, of 49 Poisson street, Tecumseh, died Thursday at Hotel Dieu after a brief illness.  He was born in Tecumseh and had lived there all his life.  He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh.  Mr. Pitre is survived by a brother, Dolphus of Tecumseh; and four sisters, Mrs. Stanislas Bellaire (Mary) and Mrs. Thaddeus Forton (Dolphine) both of Windsor, Mrs. Fred Blais (Elizabeth) and Mrs. Charles Maitre (Louise) both of Maidstone.  Services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Albemy J. Janisse and Son Funeral Chapel to St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Anne's Church Cemetery.

 

Gilbert Alfred Pitre:  Detroit Free Press (Detroit, MI), Sunday, 26 September 1909:  Alfred Pitre, 32 years old, son of Joseph Pitre, of Tecumseh, is dead at the family home, following a five days' illness from appendicitis.

 

Joseph Delphys Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 10 June 1963:  Pitre, Dolphis, 84, of 1241 Poisson St., Tecumseh, died Wednesday at his home.  He was found dead Saturday evening.  Mr. Pitre was born in Tecumseh and lived there all his life.  He was a retired school-teacher.  Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Fred Blais and Mrs. Theodore Forton (Delphine), both of Windsor; and Mrs. Charles Maitre (Louise), of Maidstone.  Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Marcotte Funeral Home, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., to St. Anne's Church, Tecumseh, at 10:45 a.m.

 

Marie Elizabeth Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 24 August 1970:  Blais - Elizabeth (nee Pitre) 90 years, August 22, 1970 of 1929 Pillette Rd.  Widow of Fred (died 1957).  Dear mother of Stanley.  Four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren survive.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from Janisse Bros. Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., to St. Jerome Church at 10 a.m.  Interment St. Anne's Cemetery Tecumseh.  Parish prayers Monday 8 p.m.  Mouvement des Femmes Chretiennes prayers Monday 7:30 p.m.

Marie Delphine Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Monday, 1 November 1965:  Forton - Mrs. Dolphine (nee Pitre), 84, 2039 Olive Rd., died today at home after a four-week illness.  Born in Tecumseh, she lived in Windsor for 60 years.  She was a member of St. Theresa Church, and of St. Anne Altar Society.  Her husband Thaddeus died in 1962.  Surviving are: her son Erle of Detroit, and sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Blais of Windsor and Mrs. Louise Martre of Maidstone.  Funeral Wednesday 9:30 a.m. from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., to St. Theresa Church at 10 a.m.  Prayers evenings at 8 o'clock and St. Anne Altar Society prayers Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.  Burial in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

 

Marie Louise Pitre:  The Windsor Star (ONT), Saturday, 8 November 1969:  Maitre - Louise, 83 years, Nov. 6, 1969 of 8th Concession, Maidstone Twp.  Wife of the late Charles, dear mother of William, Tecumseh; Mrs. Alfred Papineau (Alice) Belle River; Mrs. Norman Dame (Stella), Maidstone; Lawrence at home, and the late Theodore.  Sister of Mrs. Elizabeth Blais, Windsor.  14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren.  Resting after 2 p.m. Saturday at The Marcotte Funeral Home, 12105 Tecumseh Rd. Tecumseh.  Funeral Monday 9 a.m. to St. Anne Church at 9:30.  Interment St. Anne Cemetery.  Prayers Saturday and Sunday 8 p.m.
