Marie Emma Pitre: The Union Leader (Manchester, NH), Thursday, 26 November 1981: Allenstown - Mrs. Emma (Peters) Gauthier, 82, of 10 Cross St., died Wednesday at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a long illness. Born in Tignish, Prince Edward Island, Canada, she had resided in the Suncook-Allenstown area for more than 65 years. She was a retired winder for a Manchester textile firm and was a member and past commander of the Suncook American Legion Auxiliary. She was the widow of Samuel Gauthier. Family members include two daughters, Mrs. Mavin (Sally) Ketchie of Merrimack and Mrs. Rene (Cecile) Ouellette of Methuen, Mass., three sons, Leonard Gauthier, Richard Gauthier, and Robert Gauthier, all of Suncook; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Doucet of St. Catherine, Ontario; one brother, Jerry Peters of Tignish, Prince Edward Island, Canada; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Petit Funeral Home, Pembrook. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance Service, Suncook, N.H.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Doucette. Loving mother of Phyllis Durish, Theresa Edmonds, Jeanette (Bill) Middler all of St. Catherines, Betty (Chuck) Vella of Toronto, Sylvia (Donald) Altoft, Gerald (Marge) Doucette, Sid Doucette and Christine all of St. Catherines and Jim (Linda) Doucette of Toronto. Marie will be sadly missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Jerry (Boy) Pitre and numerous relatives in P.E.I. The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, St. Catherines on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Marie's life will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Friday March 23, 2007 of Jerry J. Pitre of the Tignish Seniors Home Care
Co-op and formerly of St. Felix. Beloved husband of Mary Pitre of
Tignish. He was born in Tignish Shore on May 29, 1912, son of the late
Joe and Mary Pitre (Perry). Father of Lloyd, Tignish, Bertha
(Dennis) Pitre, St. Felix, Emily (Vernon) Chowen, Charlottetown,
Cycil (Doreen), Charlottetown, Oswald, Bloomfield, Theresa (fiance
Maurice), Charlottetown, Emile (Helene), Tignish Shore, Angela,
St. Felix, Joe, Charlottetown, Shirley (Seymour) DesRoches, St.
Felix, Francis (Nicole) St. Felix, Barbara (fiance Dale), St.
Felix. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Mary,
brother Frank, sisters Rosie, Barbara, Emma, Angeline, Winnie, Fidelis,
and Mae, daughters Theresa and Emma and a grandson Adam.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road for visiting hours Sunday
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday at St. Simon and St. Jude
Church, Tignish at 2 pm. Memorial donations to the Tignish Seniors Home
Care Co-op would be greatly appreciated.
