Pitre: Oswego County man killed after vehicle crashes with tractor-trailer - Parish, N.Y. : A 65-year-old man was killed Wednesday when the vehicle he was driving hit a tractor-trailer that was backing into a driveway, the Oswego County Sheriff's Office said.  The crash occurred about 5:07 p.m. on state Route 104 between Interstate 81 and U.S. Route 11 in the town of Parish.  Investigator Matthew Bray said the crash was still being investigated, but that Jeddie E. Pitre, of Granby, was believed to be driving east on Route 104 when he hit a tractor-trailer.  The tractor-trailer driver, Richard D. Preeman III, of Parish, was backing the rig into his residential driveway on the south side of the highway.  While backing into his driveway, Preeman backed into the path of Pitre, Bray said.  Sheriff's deputies responded to the crash along with state troopers, the Mexico Fire Department and McFee Ambulance.  Pitre died at the scene.  His passenger, described as a family member, was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Bray said.  Preeman was not seriously injured.  Route 104 was closed to traffic until 9 p.m.
